women by their very nature are hypergamous. Her attraction to a man is based on the resources he can provide, and his virility to fertilize her eggs with strong genes. A broke man can always compensate if he has the looks and clues of alpha-masculinity, thus, you see things like sugar mummies, cougars, milf etc. The biological difference between both sexes leads to different expectation hence, most men go for a woman for her fertility and youthfulness while in the other hand, women go for social status, wealth and masculinity.
