Hiring blue collar job workers in Europe is not cheap. That;s why they all learn the principle of "Do it Yourself" Its so unlike Nigeria where you will employ a carpenter, painter, bricklayer etc and pay them 3k per day. How much is 3k in dollars? Below $10.

Anything that is bound to kill a black is glorified in Nigeria. Potbelly, backneck "canter", alcohol, gambling, betting, every other vices known to man. A bigman in Nigeria can never be an apostle of D.I.Y. It will be more honorable for him to die from ailments related to sedentary lifestyle than have a minor injury from physical activities.
Patapata heart attack. Who cares? There will always be someone in the village to blame for the death. Wanna prove you are rich in Nigeria? Be a couch potato.

hehe did u not hear dat one of cheif anthony anenih"s sons suffered a massive heart attack and died after playing tennis with a friend.happened two yrs ago.

this is the only way Nigeria can get revived or better still, use this format below to restructure Nigeria and let Nigeria become United Regions of Africa (URA as the new name for Nigeria) whereby every region will be solely independent on their own and contributing a certain percentage of their resources to the central government to be managed by United Regions of Africa Council of Ministers who would rule for 1 single term of 5 years.

The regions that will form the United Regions of Africa; URA will be:

1. Arewa Region ( to comprise of Northeast and Northwest)

2. Biafra Region (to comprise of Southeastern states)

3. Niger Delta Region (to comprise of Southsouth states)

4. Middlebelt Region (to comprise of north central states)

5. Oduduwa Region (to comprise of southwest states).

Each region shall have their own Prime Minister.

The central government shall be controlled by council of ministers to comprise of the 5 Regional Ministers from the 5 regions that make up URA.

Each Regional Minister from each region will handle the central government of URA for 1 year and act as Nigeria's Prime Minister for that 1 year tenure until it is rotated amongst 5 of the Regional Ministers for 5 years and their tenure expires and they leave both as Regional Minister and Prime Ministers.

Each region will have their own Police, regional laws, bi-laws, etc.

Each region must contribute 30% of the regional resources to the central government. But then, regions with high value mineral resources like crude oil, steel, gold, diamond, natural gas, limestone, etc must remit additional 20% making it 50% from them to central government and then, out of their excess 20% remittance, 10% will be mapped out to assist regions with less valuable or no mineral resources to catch up with their regional developmental projects to ensure equity and mutual development of URA.

The central government will now be in charge of national security; military who will focus on foreign invasion, terrorism counter and foreign affairs to manage and boost URA image in the foreign scene.

Central government must ensure complete border security and control to prevent foreign intruders and illegal arms migration into URA.

Senate and House of Reps will then be restructured too to become one URA house of commons to comprise of URA Council of traditional rulers (to be made up of traditional rulers from each current LGAs), URA senators (same as senators from present senatorial zones) and URA house of reps.

These law makers will not be placed on monthly salary but on sitting allowance based on when they seat and the sitting allowance must not be much to make anybody rich but should be okay to cater for their basic needs.

Each Region must have their own independent electoral body to conduct their elections to produce their regional leaders to serve in the central government.

Only this restructuring can save Nigeria, if not, no hope till eternity no matter who we elect as president

lol, I am a full blooded Igbo person.

If u want true restructuring of Nigeria, u must put those things in place so every region can develop equally but at their own pace.

They must benefit from the abundant resources in other parts of the nation as one nation and also contribute something too.

Restructuring is to ginger competitive development among regions and to reduce tribalism and tribal marginalization of some Nigerian tribes so every tribe; be it majority or minority tribe will be carried along equally.

It is not to allow Niger Delta or Southeast or any other region to go and enjoy their crude oil money alone, it is for the mutual success of Nigeria in terms improved security through regional and state policing, regional developmental laws and total regional resource control, think bro
You don't get it do you? Tribalism will never end in Nigeria! The only solution is to split. You don't Yorubas and Zulus/Akans fighting and making caustic comments towards each other like Yorubas and Igbos/Hausas do, do you? Do you know why? I think you should ask yourself why.

forget restructuring for now bro, it can’t happen in present Nigeria. The only way all of us can agree to restructuring is when they discover oil in all the 36 states then each state won’t be jealous of the others’ developments. For instance North can’t not agree to any restructuring because they knew they won’t be benefittig from the oil anymore and there won’t be any 30% savings to the central government purse because we re the definition of corruption. I can’t just figure it how the restructuring will occur.
Those ones are deceiving themselves that Nigeria can be restructured. It will be easy to separate Nigeria than to restructure her. This is the fac

What is the size and population of the country, how many states and local governments do they have, how many ethnic tribes do they have? The list of rhethorics is endless, my point being that the kind of problems we have they do not have. We have bigger problems than wanting PMB to paint Aso villa himself.

we bigger problems than them, we have bigger money to tackle it too unlike them.

Nigeria has no any excuse to be a failed country.

we have the manpower and the money, but the Africa in us will not allow us think good about leadership.

whereas in Nigeria a graduate is hired to paint a president house...enough of this nonsense Nigerians are good at celebrating other people than their own life...having money doesn't mean u shouldn't be able to do things on your own...imagine schools in Nigeria where teachers are hired to sharpen children's pencil some are hired to clean their bags and do their laundry... life would be so simple if everybody can just mind their own business not the business of others...strange country we live in here...come 2019 where by this time buhari will be president

You try to justify Nigeria’s backwardness by saying it has too many problems. I ask you, problems caused by who; who exactly caused Nigeria’s problems?? It is Nigerians like you who caused the problems but each day look for excuses.

Our leaders are just a reflection of the Nigerian society. Nigeria is a mess because of Nigerians and only Nigerians (not God, not some messiah politician, not the U.S or Britain) can fix it.

Truth is oyinbo lifestyle is quite different from ours......... and its a function of how both society view human life

You have a point. It is the society we live in that tries to force one and some stupid ones will always fall victim and allow themselves to be molded by public opinion.

Imagine a colleague of mine asking me why I choose to put on a shirt and trouser to a wedding of our colleague rather than the native dressing adorned by everyone. Must I do the same thing with everyone? I hate a bandwagon approach to things, honestly.

Why would she ? It's not as if she's contesting for a post. She's already a President, so she doesnt need all the facade.

was fayose not a governor already when he was in the market?

the point is that if it was Buhari or any other Nigerian politician, you would have condemned him.

you would have said it was 'all for camera', if it isn't a publicity stunt why would there be cameras?...

but because it is a foreigner, you buy into the facade hook line and sinker.
you think the western world is all perfect and smooth but it isn't. they all have their issues although they are better at cover ups in most cases. you should look at the citizens perspective before making a conclusion.

the other day, I saw an article about Obasanjo's military rule, his prison sentence and how he became president. the comments there were white people commenting on how lucky Nigeria is to have a president like obj. how obj is the best thing for Nigeria... they had no idea of the Nigerian situation.

With all these you have said, they enjoy steady light, their unemployment rate is low, they are technologically advanced, good healthcare, freedom of speech. Can you say that of Nigeria?. We are enjoying just 10% of what they enjoy.
