Corruption have finally overcome the Nigerian space, what more? Paying clergies to teach against immorality and corruption,
It may be Okay for Islam, But Islam is of a free way.

Jesus says Freely you receive, Freely you give Mathew 10;8
It is anti Christ to pay for the Preaching of righteousness
God have been kicked out of our society, secularism have invaded the world and they now want to control the sanity in the church.

Since they're paid, these pastors and Imams would be APC Pastors and Imams.

Don't be surprised if your Imam or pastor start reading from The Book of Tinubu chapter 4 verse 419.

He who pays the piper pastor dictates the tune.

He said: “We shall be willing to even engage many of them by making provision for their salaries so that they can assist government to re-orientate the people for good.

In a sane society, the monetary incentives will be rejected by the Religious leaders and they will still preach against immorality and corruption and do their work for God
But THIS IS NIGERIA!

Until we realise that we can't use religion to fix a country we won't move forward. Is this how advanced countries deal with corruption? We have enough churches and mosques that preach against such and nothing has changed yet you still want to pay Pastors and Imam to do what you as a government has failed to do. How did we get here sef

Y'all don't get it. Election is near, if you are paying our so called clerics to do what their primary duties were, you have them hooked unto you. They will inturn convince members that the administration is doing a great job, directly or indirectly.

I'd say Ambode wants to seal his second term agenda 100%

Is Ambode out of his mind? Pwy them for what? Please we should all vote real people not parties or Tinubu stooges to the lagos state House of Assembly this time around, that's where the real power is.

How can a Nigerian pastor teach morality, do you not have to have know what morality is 1st? Does a pastor collecting tithe need salary again? Then instead of paying pastors, why dont Lagos first tell these pastors to tell their people that as they are paying tithe they should make sure they pay their taxes. misplaced priorities all round.

Ambode's second term has nothing to do with the people but whether or not he is in the good books of Tinubu. Stop making out that this is some smart electioneering strategy, Ambode has an IQ of an orangutan and cannot win an election in his own family if Tinubu does not endorse him. This is the action of a nitwit who has more money (i.e Lagos state's money) than sense and does not know how to spend the people's money wisely.

why is it that before someone can comment on any Islamic post he/she must be asked if his a Muslim or not but they don't ask such silly question in Christian post?

What nonsense.... Youths are idling away due to unemployment and instead of using this same money to engage the few that they can, they will rather pay these so called religious leaders to lecture on immorality and corruption. SMH
Another way to loot money

O Lord, How long?

I firstly don't think this news is true.

If it is, then....

1) Are they freely allowed to talk on the corruption of the govt which is the main reason for the corruption of the masses? Remember the "hate speech" stuff.

2) Any true servant of God whether Christian or Muslim, would stand against this!! It's an insult to the personal calling and anointing given to preach a particular message believed to have been sent by God Himself. And govt is trying to take credit for it.

3) And if not for how today's clergy have compromised, the message of anti corruption and anti immortality supposed to the the message known to the religious faithfuls.

I can list more and more....

Somehow, Elijah needs to show up, else this generation is in trouble.

In the last days, men......

keep ignoring this bible verses Asif it's not reality.... soon the raptural reality will dawn and dusk on you.

I expect true preachers of the word to reject such merchandising.

This is a sign however that lawlessness is so rampant that the govt thinks the church isn't doing anything to quell it. The truth will always be considered last, but it's Everly constant.

Imams and Pastors are believed to be men of God. So we need all of you to help us to encourage the right values in the society; particularly in the area of accountability and anti-corruption"

I love the word used . Imam and pastors are BELIEVED to be men of God not that they are men of God.
