Saraki was elected as Senate President with just 57 senators in 2015 while his APC senators where elsewhere waiting to have a meeting with the President.

APC only wants to pay him back in his own coin.Saraki really made a political miscalculation this time around.Saraki doesnt care sbout any Nigerian or democracy ,he only cares about power any money for himself alone.Many Kwarans are in bondage of poverty because of Saraki Family.
Kwara Elections nextyear will really be a tug of war because of desporados like Saraki.

You are the one confused and who do not understand the legal language in the constitution.

The 2/3 in focus is the percentage of votes expected. However the number of those to be seated can also be interpreted to mean 2/3 Majority of the members of that house aka 2/3 votes from a number in majority to the total number of the members of that house. E.g a number like 55 and above which is more than half of the total number of senators .

Now that the elections in katsina and bauchi have added 2 more to the APC numbers in the senate, saraki knows his end has come and is not looking for every means to delay the inevitable

Once again here is the constitution. The court should be the interpreter not your uncle Bukola. Simple majority is more than half and 2/3 majority is exactly what it states but there is no mention of ALL senators just like there was none in simple majority that gave saraki the senate presidency.

We Nigerians will not allow APC to truncate our nascent democracy due to pursuit of selfish reasons! The recent attempted coup on National Assembly by APC and Buhari's govt using the DSS is still fresh in our memory!!

APC does not have the 73 senators needed to make that happen

point of correction,, judging from polling results pulled by buhari under cpc 3times,all he needed was just the south west(apc) ,,npdp were just an icing to cake.
