between my husband and i we have the
1.n97
2.nokia x6
3.bb bold
4.bb curve

and thats exactly how i rate them in descending order.
the only reason why my curve is on the list is because am old school i need to touch some buttons enough of the touchscreen already grin grin grin grin grin

6. IPHONE 4 (it's no 4, cos i been hearing serious bad reviews about it, but it's an iphone, so it's def gotta make the list)

i know why naijas are mad that Blackberry got on the list, i hear it's over-priced in Nigeria, but forget the price, with network coverage , it makes for a really good smartphone, plus free textin for blackberry users everywhere!! even NOkia can't do dat or the Iphone

I am presently using the phone below :

iPhone 3G 16G
Nokia N97
Blackberry Bold 2 9700

and from my own personal experience , Blackberry Bold 2 9700 is crap-infact it is presently being repaired. Slept and woke up one morning to find it turned off. Tried starting it but it just wouldnt come up,my laptop wont even recognize it. When it was taken to c.village,i learnt i wasn't the only one affected as many other came in with theirs ( Stupidberrys ) that same Monday morning. Learnt a particular thunder strike struck and it knocked off some blackberry phone that Friday night--see excuse kai. Screw Blackberry messenger,serves me right for going after what people are using and not what i really wanted for myself.

Anyway,i have rest of mind with N97 and it does practically everything Stupidberry and iPhone ( awesome ) does [b]plus [/b]i have warranty .

I got the phone ( my BB 9700 ) back last week but it refused charging beyond 60 % and when it droped to 40%,it went off and i wasn't able to have it charged even with my usb cord ( laptop ). Had to send it back again for repair,its not even up to a month i bought that damn thing.

My advise to anyone else planning to get a phone, if you want rest of mind simply go for a phone with warranty here in Nigeria.

I hardly get into BB debates, cos 90% of people that argues about it have not used it before or used it once and cant keep up the subscription. What is there to hate about it? BB is costly to maintain cos of the monthly subscription but its not a reason to hate it. Half of what BB does Nokia can't do it, (Nokia is just coming up with the OVI) I would say iPhone greatly competes with a BB but its service/subscription is not worldwide so thats a major setback. I am not claiming BB is the best phone but its quite a useful device if you subscribe to the services. Please be objective and stop being sentimental. Also i am not excahnging derogatory terms with anyone so spare me the reply.

Anyway, you are right bros, most ppl hate BB without having one for themselvs, e.g, Me, i dont have BB but i hate it, my reason, 1, i hate the desogn, i prefer Nokia 3310, over BB except BB storm. 2, the monthly pay, if i buy BB for 50k after ten month i will be spending 100k like it or not, 3, most ppl have it just to show status, etc

I use 3G iPhone, its not yet excellent, but manageable,

Where did you buy it? I had the exact same problem, but I returned it and was given a new one.

Do we always have to bring this "I hate Blackberry vs I love Blackberry" arguments to every thread that the Phone is mentioned in? It's becoming a little tiring to open a topic and once a person mentions that he loves blackberry another comes up with a contrary opinion and we start all over again. It's like some people search Nairaland for any thread mentioning Blackberry and just comment on all of them. Even me that I don't like them, I'm beginning to pity them.
