The 2005 C240 has a reliable powertrain but is grossly underpowered. One of the most unimpressive V6's I've ever seen, and will honestly leave you disappointed. The ES330 has a 3.3L doing about 225 HP and 240lbs of torque. It's a more powerful car than the Benz.

The C240 is RWD while the ES is FWD. Handling of the C240 is much better than on the ES.

Maintenance and reliability is all for the ES. Part prices are about on par with Benz, but the ES will be way more reliable than the C.

Luxury is also for the ES. The interior is quite simply a better place to be in. Go have a sit in both cars, you'll understand. Interior build will also hold up much better than with the C Class–in my opinion all W203 interiors start to fall apart at high mileage and when they do, it's not pretty.

Mehn, buy the ES. It's a better car, pretty much.

Another cars you may want to look into is the ES350. I'm pretty sure you can get a 2007/2008 model with 3M these days if you search hard enough. Maybe a 2006 GS300? 2007/2008 Acura TL. 2007/2008 Infiniti G35. 2007 Mercedes E350. These are all better cars than the C240 and ES330.

Considering your criteria, I'd go for an ES350.

Feel free to ask any other questions about the C240 and ES330. I have extensive hands-on knowledge on one, and currently own the other.

There is nothing to compare there, the ES is same as the Camry even in exterior appearance there is a very high similarity.

The ES (banana island) is a luxurious Camry (Ikoyi) that is an XLE Camry with more luxurious standard equipment is what an ES is.

if you want fuel economy the 4cylinder Camry would do. the V6 Camry and ES330 both utilize the 3MZ 3.3L engine and fuel economy is negligible between the V6 Camry and ES330.

The ES is worth the extra 200 to 300k price tag it has over the Camry tokunbo to tokunbo. I have not come across an ES with body falling apart but the Camry oya pa

Nurey has the gist. Both are pretty much the same car; the ES is a more luxurious Camry V6 XLE. Better sound deadening, better interior materials, nicer ride quality, better stereo and interior technology (technology is nothing impressive tbh).

Hmmmmm.

On one hand, if the G has had just one owner in Nigeria, it may have likely been very well taken care of. It's an enthusiast's car, and usually isn't bought by those who don't know anything about it.

On the flip, side, if the G has been abused, your friend is about to step into a world of pain. Nissans don't like abuse, especially electrical abuse.

The Lexus is a safer option.

Prestige: G has more prestige, it's not even close. Much rarer, looks sportier, and has weight to its look.
Speed:
Maintenance: See above. ES will be cheaper to maintain, though.
Not attractive to robbers: Depends. G looks more expensive than it is, which may make it attractive. On the flip side, the ES is a lot more common, which could also make it attractive.

If you want to drive it for three years, G definitely. ES already looks outdated.

The G35 has a poor resale value, I don't know whether the 08 can be gotten at 1.5m but I know you can get a luxurious G35 naija used in good condition for 1.5m.

You won't get any of those cars in excellent condition for 1.5m. The G is sold for about 3m toks. The Lexus is cheaper but the 05/06 are facelift models. You will see for 1.5m, but I can't guarantee you on what you'll see.

5m will land you a mildly accidented 2015 Infiniti Q50. Next car for me by God's grace.

I also happen to think that the Accord of same generation is a better car.

You are on a budget since you are interested in naija used it translate to Accord would be easier for you to buy, it's popular and parts are available, the 4cylinder is fuel efficient than the Volvo. It would be easier to also put it in good shape if both were abused.

My issue is the shaft of Accord for 1st time owners
