It is all a strategy to increase their margin of profit. They know people will want to see those celebrities, that's why they invite them. The worst part is that they make then mount the altar which ought to be sacred. Imagine a comedian cracking jokes on the altar of God. Do you know how sacred the altar of God was in the Old Testament?

It is clearly wrong and one of the signs of a false prophet. That's one of the ways you get to know you are in the wrong gathering.
Truer words have never been spoken. Spot on Sir

Guys, I quite agree with you. There is no agreement between light and darkness(2 Cor 6:14-18), But what we are seeing and hearing today is completely confusing (1Cor 14:33). Of-course it is a sign of carnality at its peak, a sign also of faith-deficit pastorates (Luke 18:8b), ministers seeking alternative ways to grow the Church of Jesus rather than the wisdom of God Himself(John 15:5, James 3:14,15, Prov 11:30). Many indeed have departed from the faith (1Tim 4:1). But we dont have to join them (Exo 23:2-3, 1 Cor 15:33). Rather, speak out the truth in Love (Eph 4:14-15), Rebuke and restore them in Love (Gal 6:1-2) and Pray for them (James 5:16) because it is actually the Devil using his subtle ways to distract and deceive them (2Cor 4:4, Matt 24:24). May God restore every of His servants of that has already been derailed in Jesus name. Amen.

As much as I would completely frown at the practice of bringing comedians and other related personalities to church for performances because it's unchristian like, I would also love to call our attention to the fact that there's no saint without a past, and the case of the artistes on the above postals (Patience Ozokwo and Eucharia) is no exception.
They were once unsaved but now saved and have declared that they will propagate the gospel as much as they could, which they are now doing. I therefore see no reason why they should be denied a platform.

They are popular figures and good examples to show to the world that if God could save such personalities then there is no one He cannot save. These two women are now evangelists and that is what they are.

And I wonder why we like exaggerating stuff as much as this in Christiandom. Who cares when Pasuma, Osupa, Wasiu Ayinde etc are brought to a Muslim program to perform. But our reactions on this topic seems as if Christianity is the only religion affected.
Truth is, the practice of bringing comedians to church is obviously unbiblical and the occurrence must be carefully discouraged. God help us.
And for all those who have said all sort of things against the church and the ministers, I pray for God's mercy. Christianity remains a true and God's chosen way no matter what the church suffers now or later.
Shalom.
