The usual attempt to blame the governors for Jonathan's government inability to save during an era of oil boom while absorbing the man who was the head of government. If Ngozi was serious about saving, why did she fail to save federal government's share of the money? Why did she and Jonathan squandered the huge savings that they met in the excess crude account and foreign reserve? This is just another attempt by PDP jobbers to absolve Jonathan of his failures.

The clown also forgot to add that Ngozi was stealing money without the governors knowledge and at every FEC meeting she claims Jonathan approved the withdrawal for either subsidy claims or for security. At a point she lied FAAC was aware of the withdrawals which they denied. Who will continue keeping money with a thief? FG at the lion share....what happened to it?
Well, clowns like Obi knows his target audience are pigs who have limited memories.

standing tall against bad policy isn't been a dictator. if he couldn't get it through legal process, he could use the media to heavily engage Nigerians. right now fashola, ameachi and co are still going about in APC blaming him for mismanaging the fund realised from oil price high

Refusing to obey the constitution when it permits an action is tyranny. Rather we should pressure our legislatures to make clear and stringent laws that our SANs cannot easily dance shaku shaku through them all the time.

yes the legislatures need to work on clear laws on ECA and other similar cash buffers the executive are keeping. But Jonathan could have done what fashola did when senate made a cut to second Niger bridge and Lagos Ibadan express way budget. in politics you scream until everyone who has ears know who is at fault. only omokiri tries abit after Jonathan left government

The ring leaders are in APC today. They even went to court.

You are right. Amaechi comes to mind.

If her hands is clean why has she refused to return home? Regardless of what Peter Obi says Ngozi herself is not convinced she is guilt-free.
This talk from Obi is nothing but PR.
She's busy bro. Quite unlike you. Sorry.

This's the kind of prudent administrator we need in this country as a leader.

Shameless set of leaders! But I am not angry with them, Nigerians are Nigeria's problem. Just watch as the youths are already rushing to nairaland to say Ameachi led the move to squander the monies. Whether Amechi, Saraki, Good luck or PMB were you not robbed? Nigerians when will you have sense. See them sleeping on the queue to get their P VC so as to vote another rogue into power. All politicians regardless of parties don't give a damn about you. They steal the monies meant for future generations and keep them for their kids while they use propaganda to get us playing silly politics.
You only stated the obvious problem and offered not one single solution.

I think oshiomole explained it this way. The cash in the SWF was meant for the state governor and the fed, but what happened was that the feds at the time were dishonest in that they were dipping their hands into the money without recourse to the other signatory to the account which is the state government. if Ameachi and oshiomole didn't shout out then for them to all share the money once and for all, there wouldnt have been any excess cash left as only the FG would have swack everything illegally and secretly.
see this one's explanation. Irredeemable ppl

. ..... so what did amaechi den do with the cash?

It is funny seeing the same people who claim conspiracy blaming Sarki for taken over Buhari's government... now accusing GEJ of being weak.

GEJ that fought against the governors for months.

GEJ that was taken to court by APC governors to force his hand to release the money.

Now these governors are absolved of sin and GEJ is the weak one. Ha. Hypocrites.

FIXED!

GEJ is weak - even GEJ himself won't argue with you on that. Okonjo-Iweala was the one fighting the governors while GEJ was innocently waiting for his share while providing Madam Patience with progress reports grin

Most posters here don't even know what they are talking about.
The ECA was established by OBJ and any proceeds from it must be shared by the FG, States and LGAs according to a well defined ratio.

At a point when OBJ was in power, the other tiers of government wanted the ECA to be shared but he insisted that it wouldn't be, the governors seeing that the account was intact backed off.

By the the GEJ was made the president, the ECA was worth $21 billion.
The governors didn't bother about it not until GEJ and his ministers started toying with the account, the States and LGAs decided to take the FG to the supreme court to get their share before GEJ and his cronies finish the rest.

Now when the money was divided according to the ratio, the FG got just $2.1 billion and this is the equivalent of 52 or 54%(can't remember now).
Mathematicians in the house please if $2.1 billion is 52%, then somebody should find what 100% is. That should be around $4 billion or thereabout.
Now the biggest question should be, can GEJ and his ministers tell us how the ECA fell from $21 billion to around $4 billion before it was shared?

Remember too that that hypocrite called Peter Obi was a governor then and was among those who sued the FG at the supreme court.
