It's very pathetic to see that ur political affiliation betrayed Ur true common sense.

In 1990, India economy rated d most fastest one and they were at d time d most poorest.

China is the largest and most effective economy right now and the poverty rate is still on d high side.

Yea per capital income determines d well being of d people. But turn of good economy enhances per capital income

I disagree for the simple reason that in 1990 India was a closed off country and in 1970 China was a closed off country. One following Socialism and the other Communism. Nigeria meanwhile has been open to foreign investment and capital and follows a mixed market economic system. When India and China opened up their economies the populations were dirt poor, there was massive scope for investment and growth and a lack of developed robust systems. Opening the economy allowed foreign investment to come pouring in and new businesses started cropping up. The people grew richer and the gap grew as a natural result. The real gdp growth of China happened in the 90s and of India is happening now after the basic effect of opening up the country faded. Currently Ethiopia is one of the fastest growing economies in the world because they are going through this phase.

Nigeria has gone through this phase already and our power shortages, bureaucratic inefficiency, corruption and lack of economic will has caused us to stagnate instead of experiencing the kind of growth other countries are achieving. Our population is growing at a much faster rate than our economy and we cannot harness our youth potential since we lack industrial capabilities. We have natural resources but need the income from these to just prop up the country not to mention the massive reserves that are stolen each year. Nigeria's high poverty rate won't just fade away. We need actual economic policies that allow for our poverty to reduce. Economic policies that aim at improving industry and creating actual sectors that we dominate.

Now your illiteracy is irreversible and I can see you're committed to a lifetime of willful deceit and economic ignorance

How does fall in oil price translate to global economic recession
You're just wallowing in ignorance. The US economy had no recession in 2015. Nigeria entered recession in 2015, the 1st in 26 years. I challenge you to bring a link showing the US economy or any developed economy for that matter in recession in 2015
Do this and I'll accept ur assertion

FYI the Nigerian recession was due to Buhari's poor handling of our economy as I posited above. Those three factors are what led to the recession

You are a deep blockhead.

Okonjo iweala declared that recession was imminent while under GEJ when she said she begged him to save up for it but he had no will to save.

The recession we experienced in 2015 was due to Jonathan's inability to shore up our foreign reserves but rather chose to deplete it which was what Venezuela did and got them bankrupt today but Buhari, the first thing he did was ensure he put savings back to our foreign reserves and he achieved this.

Your comment about buhari being the reason for recession shows how nonsensical your reasoning is.

Oil prices experienced a global decline until it hit the $25pb mark and we had very little foreign reserves all thanks to GEJ so we were exposed badly but Buhari was able to pull us out with his economic team within one year.

Buhari did not cause the drop in oil prices worldwide when it happened. This shows you are a poor student of economics as you claimed.

Regarding recession in USA, you really need to stop showing off your ignorance with pride.

I totally agree, the ERGP was launched by PMB which charts a course for the next four years 2017 - 2020 with a vision of restoring the economic growth, investing in Nigerians and building a globally competitive economy, by focusing on achieving agricultural and food security, ensuring energy efficiency, improving transportation infrastructure and driving industrialization primarily through SMEs and so far, it has recorded great success. we now grow what we eat, undergraduates and business owners now have something to hold on to; N- Power and the MSME that has provided loans to small and medium scale business owners.

Hurray good news to the patriots. Here is the global rating of Nigeria economy so far so good in 2018.

A standing ovation for the wonderful team of PMB.

Forbes rates Nigeria as 2018 best economy in Africa -

https://www.von.gov.ng/forbes-rates-nigeria-as-2018-best-economy-in-africa/

Do you agree, please present your argument with facts and figures.

Before you begin to write consider the following points.

Technically this government have liquidated all the loans she took so far. Wait before you cry foul. Nigeria total debt @ December 2014 was $67bill this converted to Naira @ N179/$ is N12Trn. However this same amount converted at current exchange rate @ N310/$ is N20Trn. Now add the 5 months salary borrowed to pay civil servants, N200bill subsidy debt and N1trn owe local contractors.

Considering the fact that current debt profile stood at N22Trn @ N310/$ is just $70bill. This is the fact the opposition doesn't want you to know and the reason they only quote Nigeria debt in Naira to deceive lazy Nigeria who cannot think on their own.

While one will forgive not so intelligent Dino, it's highly pathetic that Peter Obi also follow up on this lie.

Below you will also find Nigeria foreign reserve journey to date

Finally, talking about resources available. Comparing the first 3 years of Gej and PMB, Gej made $393bill while PMB made just $96bill. According to the link below Gej depleted foreign reserve to $29bill and PMB grew it to $45bill. You know what they both did with the resources.

Are you still not convinced, take a trip to Venezuela, or Agentina where interest rate is 60%, Greece, Zimbabwe and I'm sure how mismanaged economy look like

It keeps shrinking per minute exponentially

Bla bla bla Jonathan killed Jesus and invited buhari to bury him. If the economy was headed towards recession, buhari should have shown superior leadership by taking steps to avert it on resuming office, not engage in blame game while sitting like an ugly duckling. The first four months of his administration would have been crucial in doing that but due to his ineptitude and ignorance, he could do nothing.

Your link talks abt perceived recession which is based on revision in the industrial sector not the economy. US GDP grew by 6% in 2015, one of the highest in the Obama years so where's ur recession? I need you to do better boy. At least read the links before you paste them

You flip the next channel to hear that researchers at USC say that wine should be avoided at all cost because of increased risk of cancer. Which one will you take? Superb analysis! Couldn't have understood it any better,
Thanks.
Buterflyle0:

This is how you make an analogy

US National Debt - $21 Trillion - Debt to GDP 76%
UK National Debt - $2.3 Trillion - Debt to GDP 89%
China National Debt - $4.3 Trillion - Debt to GDP 41%
Nigeria National Debt - $73 Billion - Debt to GDP 21%

Debt is not the issue. It's what you do with it that's the issue.
Question is - If debt is rightly invested in infrastructure (that creates Capital Formation) or human capital (that keeps people alive & develop their skills and mental capacity), we'll be ok. If truth be told, a large Percentage of our National Debt was looted by the previous governments.

The conversation we should be having concerning our National Debt is
- Is it sustainable?
- What is it invested on?
- How much would those investments add to the GDP?
- When should we expect these ROI?

This government is committed to infrastructural awakening and is well on the course to achieving this with a time frame in mind after which we begin to get our ROI fast

These are some of the key indices that bring about an economical rating and yes as it stands now, Nigeria is the best economy in africa all thanks to this present Government which remained unwavering in the face of recession and maneuvered the nation out of those murky waters to the place where Forbes could now rate us as they have done.

Kudos to PMB and PYO.

A match made in heaven.

God bless Nigeria
