Crossboy:I am tired of how the Yoruba just put efforts into bastardising the title of the Emperor of Benin empire. Each Yoruba village head is now calling himself Oba. The likes of the ooni and the alafin have already given up their own titles and have attached the word Oba to their names. |

prolog2:Not according to a video which trended on this same forum. A Benin girl based in Italy was complaining saying her Esan madam reminded her she wasn't off the hook yet -- claiming the Oba's curse only affects Benin people and no one else from Edo State. |

Daviddson: Wait a minute!. So, you still don't get it? Using his language and education, he has tricked your mind to think that god is inferior to God. He has convinced you that the God that answered the Oba's prayer is an evil inferior God that only does "evil" according to you. But according to ancient records, the European Gods originated from the so called pagan African religions that spread to North Africa and the Middle East in ancient time. In fact, the Gnostics (ancient religious sect) said that the European God is an evil God who's sole purpose is to control humanity, to stop us from knowing the real God, but they turned it around against us. The lecture below throws more light on this. Who built the matrix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WywEir8Srbk 1 Like 1 Share |

Daviddson: Restructure. The Empire of Benin can restructure without the government. And it can restructure without Christianity, which seems always to be in the way because it doesn't fit the traditional religion and government. So the way to proceed is to restructure the traditional government and the traditional religion as this was done in Oyotunji in America. |

musicwriter:Your religious conviction will influence which one you'll know to be truth. And BTW, Europeans also have their own gods just as there are in Africa here! Every European is not automatically a believer in the Christian God. |
Re: Oba Of Bénin's Curse Is Scaring Traffickers Away from the Illicit Trade- Reuters by musicwriter(m): 6:41pm On Sep 20, 2018 |
Daviddson: The Europeans who don't believe the Christian God don't consider the one they believe as inferior God "only doing evil" which is your perception of African Gods. As far as they're concerned, all the God's are equal. OK, feel free to believe whatever God you want. But the moment you understand the concept of God, you will realise the Hindu God, Buddhist God, Islam God, African Gods, Jewish God, Shinto God, Christian God, etc is equal and the same, and that none is superior to the other. See you later. 1 Like 1 Share |

The stats are amazing: Edo has only 3 million people, yet 9/10 of the girls trafficked to Europe are from there? Wow!!! Thank Ogun that Oba of Benin has issued his own curse and that people are fearing it. I hope he didn't extend his curse to local-trafficking... we in Asaba depend on our Edo girls coming through booblacain: Now that there's a curse, his enforcers will also actively decimate those who call his bluff. But I think it also will free the girls mentally because they believe that the traffickers' witchcraft can't stand up to Oba's curse - Oba has the backing of the gods. |

Daviddson: I'd be careful with using one culture's ideas to demonize another culture's: truth is, every culture has its creation myths... the Christian one is the currently prevailing one, propagated at the point of arrows and guns, and most attractive to the downtrodden of society. It doesn't necessarily mean it's the sole truth. It didn't exist for nearly 300,000 years of humanity (unless you believe the Universe was created 6000 years ago, in Genesis), and may become a forgotten relic 2000 years from now. In all that time, many many religions have come up in our quest to understand the world around us, all self-assuredly confident that they were the true way. |

musicwriter:They're NOT the same, bro. But to repeat myself, your stand will depend on your religious conviction - whether you're an atheist or agnostic or deist or theist, a cultural Christian or a born again Christian. |

Daviddson: Bro, when someone gives you language, education, religion, its almost impossible to make you realise you're living an illusion. What you call "religious conviction" is an illusion tricking your mind to believe its your choice. But in reality it's a conviction that those who gave you religion has picked for you. The "religious conviction" you now have became a religious conviction in West Africa from the 19th century. Before this period, Africans had known God for over 100, 000 years when Jehovah or Allah or Jesus or Muhammad or Europeans didn't exist. All these Gods that now form your religious conviction are new Gods given to us by our enemies after conquering our lands. So, your present religious conviction is a religious conviction you didn't have until your enemy conquered you and compelled you to worship him and his God. 3 Likes 1 Share |

vanbonattel: Lol you don't understand. The curse will only work against those who request the Bini ancestral deities to mediate/enforce contracts (though fraudulent) imposed on the trafficked girls. Ewuare II is the custodian of those particular deities. 1 Like |
