Amachi is the minister of transportation. Who is controlling the entire lucrative former Aviation ministry with parastatals like Nigerian Airports Authority, FAAN, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCOL), Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations and International Civil Aviation Organization, Nigerian Civil Aviation Security Program (NCASP).
And Transport ministries with agencies responsible for normal road transportation. Currently Transport ministry is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the entire Rail system accross the whole country, they are responsible for Nigerian waterways including NIMASA, Nigerian Ports Authority and the whole Oil pipeline distribution and maintenance in the whole country.
So if you think the Senate president and the speaker who have been thoroughly sidelined and all avenues to pad budget blocked, constituency project not even fully funded by the presidency, NASS allowance completly cut down to the barest minimum even after they complained and argued but later succumbed is better than free hand control of the above agencies then you need to look again.
Currently Amaechi is silently the biggest minister. So dont be decieved. Speaker and Senate president might be higher on name but by the normal Nigerian politicians judgement, Transport ministry is the Bae. Go and ask about Tony Anenih and Nigerian Ports Authority.
