Sir, I did feel you already have a notion in your head. If you check well, Sir, my stance is that being the only child and somebody who runs his parents business at that, I expect that his happiness and that of his parent should be prioritised and as far as I know, he's only emphasising on the word "sure link" which I believe no certainty anywhere in the World. Considering that the mind is playing a trick on him at the moment, the best I can SUGGEST is to keep the money intended for establishing his business and continue to work with his organization while he monitors his parents business. |

I will advise you apply for your annual leave, accept the offer abroad and travel to see things for yourself. Should you get there and find out within the period of working that you like it there, then you stay back otherwise get your ticket back and resume duties in your Naija office like nothing happened. Before you leave, kindly draft your resignation letter and give to a family member or close friend so you could ask them to submit on your behalf should you like it there and decide to stay back. Since you do not intend to stay long abroad and you already have an entrepreneurial mindset and target, my advise is for you to speak with your parents face to face and let them into your plans after which you can travel. You will save money faster working abroad thane here as long as you do not loose focus so Bros Travel while you have the chance but do all that is required first. 3 Likes |

Betterchoice: Just a very rough estimate. Let’s say out of £35,000 he actually takes home 21,000 after taxes and deductions. Assuming he lives alone on a £8,000 annual rent and utilities, spends £5,000 annually on groceries and feeding, pays £2,000 annually on transportation, add £2,000 annual spending for other shopping, western union etc... Like I mentioned earlier, this May in no way tell a true story of the reality, but it’s something to have in mind. More research would actually paint a better picture of the reality in the U.K. 1 Like |

when you people start talking about how somebody is earning the equivalent of 10 gazillion naira abroad, you often forget to factor in the concept of purchasing power. the equivalent of 700 naira here which is about 2 dollars will only buy you 2 coke there. Whereas you will get 7 of the same bottle here. so when you check, the real PP of that 3million over there might not be more than 400k. The only advantage is you get more value for your money, steady light, good road etc. you will still pay rent utilities and all. So always factor that in before you get carried away by salary earnings numbers alfredilly: 1 Like |

OP all I'll tell u is that there are people silently living the cruise life right here in naija. And there are those who sold their car to relocate, and now sleep in libraries while bathing and keeping things in their Asian friends house, because he will allow them do anything but sleep there. Then they go to work at 10pm when normal human beings are trying to sleep, and are not allowed to leave the premises until a set time. Even to shit. They endure and only change job when the day comes that they shit on themselves because permit is denied. That being said. if everything is sure as you said (highly unlikely i.m.o.) Worst case scenario, your choice boils down to this > Slave in Heaven or King in Hell. Best case scenario Average citizen of Heaven. 1 Like |
