donsiqua:I think you should draw a plan scale of how long you want to work there, gather your self and come set up your company, then talk to your mum about the plan, make effort to convince her. Are you in a serious relationship? This will really help by introducing her to your mum with the assurance that you can't leave her and marry a white woman. Also you did mention that you can be running your company and working, earning 200k monthly in addition to what comes from your company, can you still get the offer when you return? So many things to put into consideration. Then chose the best considering your family BTW: you can help a sister look for job, I studied Mech. Engr., good at piping design, and very dedicated to work with so many other skills. God bless you 1 Like |

Admitwithschola:Clearly you've really spoken out of experience, thanks for the insight. Please if you can, help a sister with fully funded scholarship link for masters or a job link. I studied Mech. Engr., have HND upper credit, B.eng 2.1; currently learning piping design. Hey its frustrating when you know where you are coming from, you make effort to build yourself and yet keep being frustrated by the surrounding conditions. Depression is gradually creeping in, God should just please help His own daughter 2 Likes |

As a matter of fact, I had to login to quote you because over the years, I had always loved to be a guest and educate myself while reading other people comments. Being a sensing and feeling person, I understand your point quite well, but, I feel you're about to make one of the biggest mistake for thinking saying "I am very good at my job and I have been planning on opening my own" No doubt, you may be good but no business can ever excel by itself without the inputs of other people. You see, you are part of the chain that makes the system of your present organization works which is why you think, you're better, remove other people efforts, your input is as zero on the team. So, please ensure you have put these into consideration, Sir before even planning to purchase those capital intensive machineries, which of course, I am sure at this moment, your utmost consideration is that of you and not other people. So, my suggestion is; for the money you have saved, hold on to it while you still work with the organization to earn more. As for the abroad job, I feel you already have a doubt in your mind which of course, the mind plays a great role in mans' endeavour, so, it is best you pause on that, it is even necessary at this moment because you have to help your parent; those who had sacrificed a whole lots for you up till this moment, Sir. These are my humble verdict. I hope that you take your time to dwell on this because, you may not have the chance to recall some steps once taken wrongly. Happy deliberations. |

Hablad47: Sir/Ma, mhen, I feared reading the line of sacrifice oo. I'm not fighting oo, just trying to make a point - so because parents have sacrificed so much, children should throway opportunities when they come just so they sef can return sacrifice in return to parents. Na wa oo, this sounds like burden to me now. May be something is wrong with my brain? I'm not advocating the western style, i.e. forget about your parents kpatakpata, but in my mind, I think the other extreme too is unfair; it's unfair for parents to place too much burden on children. And I hope to live by this feeling myself. I am all for supporting parents and all those our beliefs, but people can be of value to their parents with sacrificing their own opportunities...Otherwise the next line of my arguments would be that the kids did not force us parents to bring them to this world. No? 1 Like |

Eaugusta: This sounds good. Surprisingly, I belong to a team of young people that mentor other young and academically hardworking Africans. Perhaps you've seen one of our adverts. Which school did you go? What did you study at uni? What was your GPA at both HND and BSc? What is your age? Do you have transcripts of your studies? Your education looks decent to me. Mech is a hard course to study and perform above average. Answer those questions |

Admitwithschola:Thanks for your response and the encouragement, I may have actually seen one of your advert but wouldn't know because I don't know your team's name. I finished from Federal Polytechnic, Nekede with 3.12 in Mechanical Engineering, after which I proceeded to University of Port Harcourt for Post HND (top up); it's a 3 years program which I rounded up March this year still awaiting result but confidently, I am sure by God' s grace that my CGPA is between 3.90 to 4.00. I am 29, I can apply for my HND transcript but currently can't apply for the B.eng own as it is not ready at the moment. |

Eaugusta: Thanks for the details. Your age is still good. 4.0 or 3.9 is not bad. Unfortunately we will need a bachelor’s degree transcript to proceed. When you get this, search for one of our adverts with my username and then email the transcript, the back transcript. We will access and if need be request the HND transcripts as well. But you will need to be quick because we have till end of October. For jobs, unfortunately I can’t help with that. I am not in your field. It seems it is you that God brought me here to meet. For further questions, send us an email. This year could be your year, if all goes well |
