2023 will be interesting. It will resemble that of 1993. APC will choose South west/ North while PDP, North/South east. I believe Fashola will represent APC while Tambuwal will represent PDD.
I believe Fashola will become president in 2023

Yes! Supported!
Nigeria is very ethnic!
The North clamoured for their turn after Yaradua was truncated.

The presidency should be zoned to THE EAST!

It is no longer news that Nigeria does not vote for the most qualified irrespective of ethnic affiliation.
So be it!

Time for THE EAST to get the presidency, if others will support o.

But knowing the NORTH and WEST? undecided
They will sabotage all efforts.

Another problem is that the East will fight amongst themselves to eternity. They have never learned to work together.

Let them start now and prove they are ready for the presidency by CAMPAIGNING NOWWWW and agreeing for ONE candidate! kiss

Till then, not a chance.

YORUBA do not believe in southern unity and we are not desperate to be president.
Tinubu transformed Lagos state from opposition with a hostile Yoruba president
There are two parts to SS Bendel to the West and cross river/rivers to the East ,originally 3 states
Did cross river or rivers vote Awo or Zik in 1979?No
Bendel voted Awo

They voted Shagari
So what southern unity are we talking about
From day one in this country the Yoruba have walked ALONE politically.
We do not need the centre
Despite walking alone. Those that served the Abokis say we sabotaged their ports so Lagos can thrive.
If we are so powerful in opposition why do we need to be be in the centre when those doing boyboy like Zik and Ekwueme could not prevent Yoruba sabotage

We have eminently qualified igbos who are are more competent than Peter Obi and who can actually get the votes. You Peter Obi supporters should stop flashing his name anytime Igbo presidency/vp is being discussed. In any case, Peter Obi has been settled with PDP Vp ticket! Let him test his popularity with that

It's folks like you that the major problems of the south east.
One man is being presented now but here you are talking about multitudes as if those ones came from heaven.
And when other people start accusing the Igbos of not being coordinated, you will be somewhere mute.
I am from Edo,culturally and traditionally attached to the west, but I believe fairness and justice favors the East.

Guys please, lets all reason together.it seems were all southerners here.we need a southern agenda to counter the north.the best thing for the south to do is to allow buhari finish his remaining for years so that both parties can zone the ticket to the south.
I believe if the east and south south gives him up to 30%,apc will zone power to ss/se.tinubu will be clipped or compensated.my ibo brothers, keep aside the dislike you have for buhari.vote him again for four years, bear with him.leave sentiments and make politically wise choice.as it stands, the south south will give buhari significant votes.the east must match or surpass that tally.i would really like an ibo to succeed buhari.thanks guys
APC can never field an IBO as president.
Kolework!!!

I am very certain PDP will field a northern candidate in 2023. It is either Atiku seek reelection if he wins 2019 (forget the talk of single term) or a Kwankwaso/Makarfi/Lamido/Tambuwal etc seek the ticket in 2023 should Atiku fail to win 2019.

Irrespective, may PDP unseat APC in 2019! Amen

Amen O!

You lot are crying as if it's your birthday right. The other tribes such as itsekiri, urobo, ibibio etc have as much stake as the ibos to the presidency. The problem with the ibos was and still is that of arrogance and this entitlement feeling towards being a part of Nigeria. You need to learn to negotiate with others and not throwing threats of leaving if things don't go your way. It's not certain the south south will go with you, yet you have already caved out there terriority as part of Biafra. You have already created a sense of a conquered territory with your agitation. Rather than fight for good governance, you're crying over who turn is the presidency? What level of development has the governors brought upon the southeast, that should be Paramount rather than who's turn is the presidency
So fashola that claimed the presidency is coming to the SW is not at fault abi? He is not arrogant.

It is the igbo nation - a majority ethnic that have contributed more than most to Nigeria and is only looking for what is fair, is who you are claiming to be arrogant.?

You get eyes at all?

You obviously don't understand, if you think deep you will know that Fashola is playing mere politics by appealing to his people for votes. The same cannot be said of your people

you think election in nigeria is what happens on the election day? elections in nigeria are won and lost weeks before the polls

the various meetings done at night is what determines the winner, not who some groups decide to vote for.

if buhari enters in 2019, SW will produce the president in 2023, pdp can pick atiku or even kwankwaso but they would lose because the power brokers would have determined to support the apc candidate

The Eboes knows they cannot win and that is why they are issuing threats.
In 2023 A PC will field a Yoruba and PDP an Igbo.
The North will abstain so the contest is something to look forward to
What are the Eboes afraid of? Let us meet at the ballot box.
If the Eboes think the North will subscribe to their childish and wishful thinking they are deluded.
It will be Yoruba versus Eboes on election day in 2023. Better go and get ready
It will not, they will support a Fulani man to make sure power remains in the north

That is absolutely fine by us.
Nothing New we have ALWAYS BEEN IN opposition ask your elders
1960 Zik went into coalition with Balewa and Awo formed the opposition

1965
Zik went into coalition with Balewa and Awo formed the opposition
1979 Zik went into coalition with Shagari and Awo formed the opposition Ebola rewarded with Vice-president Ekwueme and Speaker HOR Edwin Ume Ezeoke
1983 Zik went into coalition with Shagari and Awo formed the opposition Ebola rewarded with Vice-president Ekwueme and Speaker HOR Edwin Ume Ezeoke
By this time Ojukwu had returned to join NON

The Yoruba were sidelined but kept quiet for peace and national unity. They weren't foolish.
Facts are stubborn.
So any threat especially from the Eboes about power staying in the north is risible.
What else have the Eboes ever done other than to be boyboy for their Fulani overlords.
Yoruba have always been in opposition so that is no threat.
Let the post of VP be the new battle ground

Words of wisdom.

You can’t get what you didn’t work for

The truism is that Fashola has sounded a wake up call for Ndigbo to vote for Buhari if we are interested in president of Nigeria of Igbo extraction come 2023. Ndigbo have three advantages to clinch the 2023 presidency – equity, natural justice and good conscience,” he said.
