I am in My mid twenties, and lately I have been struggling with terrible lust. I just want to have sex. I have been resisting it because I am a Christian and have been warned since childhood that sex is not meant for the unmarried, so I have been careful about it, but if you check my last topic, I almost slept with our househelp b4 we parted ways.

I have prayed and fasted about it but it keeps getting stronger. I discovered masturbation by mistake, my parents didn't lecture me on it. I was watching pornography and as I was imitating the actors, I released and it felt good and since then I have not been able to stop. I have confessed and done all, but the more I try to stop the more I desire to have sex.

The internet, media, television is not helping at all, it has been overtaken by sexual immorality and perversion and nudity. It fuels people more to have sex. Likewise most women, I have seen too much tight fitted clothes that exposes all the contour and shapes on the street etc..

What can be done to escape this? Must I have sex to be satisfied? I have read that it is addictive, and know it wastes time, energy and money. I know and believe all the consequences of engaging in pre-marital sex, but I feel pain and burn resisting sex.

For those who are not married and are still virgins and those who were virgins till they got married, how do you and did you do it?

The Bible has a solution to your problem bro. Gal 5:16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

You need to walk in the Spirit. You need to read the Bible and meditate on the Word of God. The Word of God is Spirit and Life. Don't try so hard to stop, you have to feel yourself with the things of God instead. e(Music, sermons etc).
2. Meet God in prayer; Keep talking to God about it. Spend hours in Prayer. Show God you really want to overcome this (Hannah's prayer)
3. Most of these desires are from the Devil. Bind and cast off any spirit of Lust, porn, masturbation and sexual immorality.
4. Starve yourself of things that fuel your desire; avoid porn sites, social media (Twitter & IG)
5. Avoid secrecy! Stay around people. Talk to people about it. Sin strives when kept in secret.

Starve the flesh by going into fasting and get the spirit build and on fire with the word of God and prayer at all time while totally staying away from the media of any sort.
Read the book of psalms and Romans to have the full knowledge of how Christ have overcome sin (fornication) for us and begin to walk in that liberty through knowledge in God's word.
