I hope u understand it now. So even the 30k Nigeria government wants to pay is not even upto the 96k they were paid talk more of the 126k they want to increase it to. That's If you know what I mean now, but as it is. Clearly u don't. 1 Like |

Ihaveleftnaija: What effort? If I hadn't been in SA, had and still have SA friends and acquaintances, perhaps you would have bamboozled me with their so-called improvement. Fact remains, SA was developed by the foreign inhabitants, who much as I would loathe to admit, have shown same efficiency in their original abode. The aborigines however, have managed to lose grip on the efficiencies. To Nigeria, there is a stark reality about Nigeria today. We have never been efficient or productive. Yet, we need efficient productivity. 1 Like |

Nigerians will never understand the dynamics of things... Firstly to start with South Africa has an efficient Tax Revenue System, the minimum Tax is 25% flat, coupled with 15% VAT. Everybody has a Tax number and the Tax on your salary or payment is automatically removed from the source, meaning you can't escape it. Imagine earning N100,000 per mount and the government Tax Revenue service automatically removes N25,000. Can that be possible in Nigeria without rioting?....And everything you buying is subjected to 15% VAT. Last time I checked VAT in Nigeria is still a miserable 5%, tax on salaries is 1-2%, one of the lowest in the world. And, yet we still want to government to be able to pay salaries with good infrastructures. Also, fuel is N145/Litre in Nigeria and almost N450/Litre in South Africa. Let's stop comparing apples with mangos. Food for thought. 2 Likes 1 Share |

marviessss: This is not an excuse. Nigeria has the resources to pay workers of any size. Bros, make una stop dey give Nigerian leaders stupid excuse. How can NA members be pocketing over 8 million per month? reduce the responsibilities of the FG and give states more rooms to work harder... Stop this nonsense formular of revenue allocation.. Nigeria has money but the money is misused. Our politicians are among the highest paid in the world. For instance, if we are serious, we can make a law that says only products manufactured in Nigeria can be used by any public office holder who is paid by tax payers money. if u dont like it, dont contest for public office. Nigerian leaders are mad. 1 Like |

GavelSlam: What effort? . Are there no less slums in south Africa now than during apartheid?. Is the black middle class not bigger now compared to the non existent one before ?. Are over 90% of the people not enjoying 24 hrs of power today ? Etc .You think others are stagnant as Nigeria?. Those whites were more efficient because their only responsibility was 10% of the population , compared to the responsibility of the black government which is everyone including foreigners. I don't know what we are arguing about here . Sa is not perfect but they are making many strides compared to the biggest economy in Africa. Kiss the truth. 2 Likes |

Ihaveleftnaija: You people always think worse of your own government. What makes you think the SA government is doing more than our government? There is also one thing many of you don't understand, and that is selflessness as per patriotism. South Africans have comparatively much smaller numbers of billionaires but each of these billionaires assist communities heavily. So South Africa is not just a product of the government but of the citizens as well. In Nigeria, reverse is the case. Selfishness is the reason why there is high rate of looting. And tribalism is so rife that it even affects political party affiliations. How can a country move forward when opposition take sides with looters because they don't like the ruling party? Looters are supposed to be our common enemy but some people hate the president so much that they will take sides with looters and frustrate efforts to penalise the looters. The South African citizenry is not built this way, at least not so evidently and brashly. So, instead of blaming government, why can't you review your own contributions to the mess? A country needs more than her leaders to grow. When you wish your country bad simply because you want the president to be discredited, how would the country move forward. Many Nigerians have become so blinded by sentiment that they would rather curse their country than contribute their quota. 2 Likes |

abescom: bros, cost of living in standard country is high becus the money is there.. Our own cost of living is also high.. Now, it is easier to make 100 dollars in the USA, than making 30k in Nigeria. That is how u rate economy. No matter how high it is, the citizens can easily afford it becus the economy supports that. Nigerians suffer too much, please there is no excuse for the leaders. Our politicians are among the highest paid in the world. It is not meant to be like that. Countries with citizens traveling too much outside their country to go and hustle are doing so becus their countries have failed them. No body will be happy to abandon his wife in Nigeria to go and hustle in another country for years. Who likes such life? Who likes his wife to be banged by another man while he is hustling in another country? Nigerians suffer too much. 3 Likes |

SIRTee15:An average Nigerian youth is a tribalist and naturally stupid. They hate you for not supporting their candidate, they hate you for your belief, hate you simply because you don't speak the same language with them. How can a country with youths like that ever develop?. South Africans don't go to USA embassy to beg them for visa because they're comfortable. They don't cross sea to Europe just to run away from their country. They don't go to church to give Thanksgiving because they bought a fairly used 2001 Honda car. They don't fast and pray because of visa. they arrange their documents, head to the embassy and their visa is granted. Bro forget this country... The first time you will travel out of this country, you will come back with anger because you will see how far this sh!t hole is from 21st century. 4 Likes |
