thesicilian: Nonsense! Who asked him to pay December salary in November? All we want is for them to pay salaries regularly...there is nothing special about paying salaries early, it is for services offered. Period! 1 Like |

thesicilian:I don't think this is right though. Those workers haven't worked in December but they've already received salary for December. |

Well the Governor really tried by making the payment in advance, but seriously, the workers should be careful with spending cos January is really far from now. |

When it comes to salary, the cross river state govt is the best in Africa. I have observed Ben Ayade for sometime.he did same last year and year b4 last. I can vehemently postulate that cross river civil servants have enjoyed lots of scenery along the detours. |

thesicilian:It's a bad move. It would have been better he paid them around the 15th of December instead of this. Responsibilities will rear their heads the moment money is at hand. I doubt some families will be able to use the salary for the holidays. 1 Like |

I wonder if he cried while doing this. This crying man. This is a good initiative. It was proposed by governor Donald Duke as a way to see citizens enjoy the upcoming carnivals without work or expenses stressing their minds. It's nice to see continuing governors kept the tradition alive. 1 Like |

Personally I don't think it's a good move by the governor. Paying December salary now, will be very disastrous in January... Remember January is like a whole year on its own; school fees will be paid, some tenants will be renewing their rents and many other expenses... Only those who are financially disciplined or have alternative sources of income can manage the situation. |

choice17:U only read the topic, endeavour to read the body. He has been doing it for the past three years and moreover, we have not heard any of the workers died because he paid early. He is bn maintaining that standard. Now, your assignment; go and show this report to ur state governing may be he too can be visionary. |

TheAngry1:That is what Nigerian politicians have reduced Nigerians to. We celebrate what is meant to be a duty as an achievement or a favour. Politicians now feel like demi gods in fulfilling their official duties. They are really playing on the intelligence of Nigerians |
