I don't think this is right though. Those workers haven't worked in December but they've already received salary for December.

Well the Governor really tried by making the payment in advance, but seriously, the workers should be careful with spending cos January is really far from now.

It's a bad move. It would have been better he paid them around the 15th of December instead of this.

Responsibilities will rear their heads the moment money is at hand. I doubt some families will be able to use the salary for the holidays.

Personally I don't think it's a good move by the governor. Paying December salary now, will be very disastrous in January... Remember January is like a whole year on its own; school fees will be paid, some tenants will be renewing their rents and many other expenses... Only those who are financially disciplined or have alternative sources of income can manage the situation.
