The next big thing aside Lagos could be any of the following states , Anambra, Delta or Akwa Ibom.
Ogun state will remain what it is , a satelite state to Lagos, Ogun state can only reflect , deflect and absorb excess development and growth from Lagos.

Anambra got it right when Peter Obi enforced order, Anambra has the first and only indigenous Car manufacurer, Large Markets with west African influences, The top cable manufacturers , auto parts manufacturers , pharmaceutical companies, transport hub , food processing out fits etc. if only Anambra can get Ontisha port working full blast, if all Anambra Enterprenuers think home and invest home , Dubai will be a little drop in the ocean.

Delta is Nigeria's hub for Gas, Oil and the richest bankers come from Delta, if only Delta can get it right by thinking home.

Akwa Ibom , Giant of the rising sun , this state has the skill and brain power coupled with the petro dollars to get it right, already giant projects are springing up in every sector including the maritime industry.

River state , if only Rivers state has half the enterprenuers Anambra had,if only Rivers people can think out of the Box like Akwa Ibom People, if only Rivers state can Think beyond oil like Delta. if only Rivers state can open up its business space for foreing participation , oh Rivers state.

Abia state ; This state would have made the list but for bad , corrupt , inept leadership . Abia is not finished yet . there is hope.

Lagos, 6 other states control 90% of cash transactions in Nigeria – CBN. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said that Lagos and six other states control about 90 per cent of cash transactions in the country. The other states are:
Rivers
Anambra
Abia
Kano
Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

there is no way u can compare ibadan to anambra state, although ibadan is larger, not to talk abt ibadan, anambra can only compete with the likes of lagos, river, anambra can boast of heavy infrastructures now, home based companies, we are not talking about business, while it seems like lagos is toping that chart is due to the proximity to the sea, apapa sea port, because thats the only sea port working effectively, apart from that, anamabra is the headquaters of business in naija, mgbuka obosi auto parts in anambra state can generate 350m every weekend this is no lie, main market is the largest market in west africa now, billions are made there every weekend, not to talk of nkwo nnewi auto market, innoson, etc, anambra is extremely rich to compare to ibandan, are u guys okay at all? try escaping that hole for once in your life, bt dnt carry your skull mining skills here cos we go plank ur coneheads, lol, im just being friendly.
Which of your pangolo industry is bigger and better than p&g or British American tobacco company ?

Do you know why Shoprite put 2 and the largest shoprite in Nigeria in Ibadan and not anambra village?

Do you know why they have international brands like Dominos, KFC and Coldstone creamery in Ibadan?

It is because Ibadan people have the taste, exposure and purchasing power to support such brands

It is because your anambra village is poor and backward to support such brands.

We invest our money to create wealth and jobs, the same wealth and jobs you can not get in your backward, economically depressed and unproductive anambra village hence trooping to the SW for survival and daily bread.

Instead of hiding your money and not paying taxes, invest and create jobs in your village to prevent future generations after you from trooping to other places for survival just like your forefathers did and generations after them are still doing.

It's called pennywise, pound foolish.
