Hi, my wife got an appointment for March 10 to join me here in Germany. I am studying on a scholarship and we got a support letter from the scholarship body already.

Is the payment of 150k for document verification compulsory for everyone? Although when I was leaving Nigeria, the embassy collected my Marriage certificate during my application and gave it back to me when I got my original documents. Also, what are the documents they could be verifying for my wife?

Is there anything I need to do here in Germany to fast-track her processes?

At the moment, I have done my residence permit but I have not received my card, my visa is still valid till the end of March and I have the temporary resident permit given to me at the immigration office, can my wife use the temporary residence permit for her application?

You mentioned scholarship? If your a daad scholar, then your wife won't do verification. No need to pay 150k . Her visa process will be faster than others .mostly 2 weeks after interview

Thank you very much for this information.

Can she use the temporary residence Permit I have as well?

Not at all
All my documents are well clean, no fake, sad
He even called my wife in Germany without my permission and demanding, requesting for cash...
He even asked my wife to pay the money or else he will just put my documents under the desk.

I already sent him 20000 naira +15000 and a bottle of red wine.

Hi Everyone,
In my last update here, I reported that the lawyer never came for verification during the visa waiting process.
However, last week the embassy surprised me by paying the verification money back.
I sent someone to collect 150K back from the embassy as they requested.
To God be the Glory.

This is strange, the lawyer that visited me was very professional, I was not willing to offer him anything because I don’t want it to look as if I am hiding anything, but the culture in me offered him a bottle of eater, but he politely declined. I hope you are saying the truth with your application?

She can use your temporary residence permit . The most important thing is to give her the letter given to you by daad . Every other is not so relevant

When you have an appointment and try to book for the second time, you will automatically lose your appointment.
That instruction was clearly stated on their website. You didn’t have to ignore it.
It a sign that you don’t follow laid down procedures.

Quick update on this.

Trying to book again did not affect my appointment

Got my visa last month and have been in Germany for a few weeks now

Good day ladies and gentlemen, my wife and children had their interview on the 4th of January and I received this email from my Landratsamts this morning

Dear Mr.

In the meantime, the visa application documents for your wife and children have been received here.

You will be asked to attend the above date to submit the following documents:

1) A short written description of the course of your relationship with your wife so far
(Getting to know each other, engagement and marriage)
2) Written short description of the planned further center of life - would you like to live permanently with your family in Germany?
Or are you planning to return to your home country after completing your studies?
3) Evidence of how the family's livelihood and health insurance will be covered
(e.g .: family scholarship, savings account with blocking notice, planned job for your wife?)
4) Planned living space?
Submit a copy of your rental agreement stating all additional costs and the size

Please note that this is only preliminary information; further documents may be required.

Please note: just hand in the documents, a more detailed discussion cannot take place.

Please experts in the house I will be glad if you can give me insights on how to respond to this especially especially number 2.
Please note that I am here as a student.

Please help me out to avoid mistakes
