POLICE OFFICERS from the RECCE company of the General Service Unit pose for a photograph at State House Nairobi after accomplishing their mission at Riverside Hotel. The unit had overall command of the multi-agency force that included the Regular Police, Administration Police, and Members of the Special Operations Regiment (SOR) of the Kenya Army.

This is terrible. But to be honest Kenya has one of the most advanced military personnel in Africa and their counter terrorism forces are top notch comparable to those found in developed Nations

Forget comparing Nigerian military to them it's not even close...

Kenyan forces are top . They didn't join the army out of joblessness or hunger so you can't compare

[quote author=THUNDER4real post=74815409]These are soldiers and these are quality guns...Nigeria soldiers are political police. we don't have soldiers in Nigeria. I wonder how our so called security personnel will respond if we're in same situation. Police will say we close by 6p.m for security reasons, Army will say no ammunition, airforce will say no fuel for aircraft, Fire service will also say we don't have water, we can't come. chai.[/quo

You cant try this kind of dare devil operation in Abuja. This hotel is a highbrow one in an upscale location. You should notice the considerable number of foreigners in the hotel. Its just like having Boko haram militants invade Transcorp. If you are well entrenched in the security circle, you should Know the elaborate advanced security counter measures already in place for such attacks in such upscale locations in the FCT.

Have some respect.
Al shabaab is not in the class of Boko Haram, and the Kenyans can't even contain them.

Keep quiet and stop talking nonsense

What do you know about terror groups and emergency response?

It's only amongst Nigerians you find ignorant people talking boldly about what they have no idea about

Note also the British SAS soldier (who was reportedly training the Kenyan special forces from the British army base in Kenya). US Navy seals also took part. This was not a rag tag force.

Everyday i keep hating myself for being a Nigerian. Our problem here is loyalty. Igbos will always blame their people for joining the military as if they are not all fighting for their motherfucking mothers and sisters. A divided nation is more of a dump site. Keep hating and expect to get the fucking biafra.

Anywhere in the world where Islamic Terrorists fight, their objective is only one:

they fight for a country or territory to be governed with strict Islamic Sharia laws, including Sharia Criminal codes..

Twelve northern Nigeria states adopted strict Islamic laws, like Sharia Criminal codes since 1999; immediately after "unbeliever" Obasanjo, became president.

See why Boko Haram can't be defeated in Nigeria - NEVER

Just like in the movies. Nice one Explorers. But those taking pictures really have mind oh!

Heaven knows I don't want this situation for me and my loved ones. I can't imagine being caught in the middle of a terrorist situation; those thoughtless souls who derive joy in taking human lives.

May we all never encounter or fall victim to any form of terrorism - we or our loved ones.
millitary always have their own complete team. Medic, engineer, photographer and all. The photographer would surely be a soldier surely not civilian.

Anyone who claims Nigeria has special forces is nothing but an uninformed ignorant civilian who watches too many movies

Nigerian special forces only exist on paper with different colored uniforms

Nigeria has one of the worst military in Africa ... On the level of Chad and Northern Sudan

That is a fact

99% of Nigerian military personnel all joined to avoid unemployment and starvation

We are insiders and know the facts

yeaa you're right... Buh I don't blame them honestly... It all boils down to the motive of taking the job.. These guy took it cuz they live it.. Naija we take it cuz its wot is avaliable, we need steady salary and we want to oppress people... That why wen they send them to borno you'll hear that some ran away. If you see a military or paramilitary who really loves his job.. You'll love and respect the force
