We have known each other for about six months now. I proposed to her in March 2020 and kept telling me she was thinking about it.

Just yesterday, she said yes to my proposal and I was so excited. When I met her yesterday evening, she told me Friday (June 26) is her birthday and that, she expects a lot of gifts and mobile money from me. My bowels became full instantly so left to go ease myself.

I have lost interest. Show me a way to outsmart this fraudster of a lady, thanks.

I simply cannot engage in a conversation I'm not invited to. If he really wants her voice to be heard, let him ask her or involve her and see if she wouldn't answer.

The secret in marriage is to find a middle ground. You can't always be quiet all the time nor be a talkative too.
Her extreme quietness is a misrepresentation which others will not understand. They may feel she is too proud or that they are unimportant.
She should make a conscious effort to be friendly, to talk and to look interested in what others have to say.
I had to practically drag the social side of my husband out of him.

Why Not Involve Her In The Conversation. The Quiet Ones Have Alot Of Sensible Things To Say but You Just Have Make Them Talk by Involving Them

Surprisingly, I'm like her too. I don't like to engage in conversations I'm not invited to. I'll rather you indulge me, and I'll answer. I prefer to listen than talk. I don't blame her, she's a great listener. Sadly, our wanton society have held this as a norm of being unintelligent, or a so-called attitudinal problem. Let her be. No one has to manipulate certain lifestyles which one finds contented with to make another happy. We've wrongly been debased. Nothing is absolutely wrong with her.

Please, i could use some career advice from great nairalanders. Please tag monikers that you think would be of great help, as i am at a crucial point in my career.

I am a graduate of chemcal engineering but for 2years now, have not gotten any engineering related job. The only job i got was at KPMG (audit), which i resigned after 3 months due to some personal reasons. I am currently an Area Sales Rep with a poultry feed production company that pays 183k per month (net take home after tax and other necessary deductions), though i could use up to 20 to 25k to fuel my car monthly.
Now, i just got a PTDF scholarship offer to study Advanced process integration and design in UK but not really sure if it is worth ditching my current job for it.

I am not very confident about securing a job once i finish msc because only a handful of opportunities come for chemical engineers. more also,UK rarely retains Nigerians.

Please what are your advices, especially from those who have done Msc in Uk.

I need your advices, i dont want to make a costly mistake.

Trained dogs can smell hard drugs from far away. We should be applauding our authorities. It's not every time you condemn cos if you go outside Nigeria and see this, you will come here and be praising such countries
