Love is love, regardless of age. However, there is often an age gap that is most ideal, simply because it provides the couple with more shared interests. Can you imagine growing up in the age of technology and marrying someone who doesn’t know how to use smartphones completely? Perhaps that is a bit exaggerated, but it shows my point. People in the same generation often have more in common with each other, and are therefore more compatible. They like the same music, the same movies, and had similar experiences growing up.
For a more exact answer, look at a study done . It found that couples with a one-year age difference have a mere 3 percent chance of getting divorced. That increases to 18 percent when the age gap is five years. A 10-year difference is 39 percent, and a 20-year age gap has a 95 percent chance of ending in divorce. In this sense, the ideal age gap is one year, something much smaller than one might think. This was done not by similarly as stated in my pervious statement, but rather on divorce rates amongst different people. This shows that the smaller the gap, the greater the chance of survival for the couple.
