More what? You are a farmer in a socialist society, small land you plant and tend. Do you get the same as professors in universities get! Should you get what professors in universities get?
My point was that in a socialist state, wealth is equally distributed. A doctor would be paid the same as a janitor. Do you think that's right?

grin grin lol. I don't know how to respond to this. Read my post and read what you wrote. Nevertheless, even their previous cash would be distributed equally.

Those who contributed more or were vital to achieving a particular aim do get more! Or where else did they get the resources with which they did more if they were not given more?

I have deep regard for you! What do you mean, "you don't know"?

Socialism is not the same thing as communism.

Socialism is in effect soft p0rn when consider alongside Communism (hard core)

Socialism is just the revamped and modernized form of communism towards making it more palative to the ignorant.

Communism is the tree and socialism is its vile fruit

If you reward laziness and indolence at the expense of those who work hard only for their labour gains to be stolen from them and shared to the mob, how on earth do you think anybody will want to work?

And FYI communist/socialsit societies end up producing the same 1% but rather than being the most productive they are drawn from the corrupt bureaucratic govt.

The communist Hugo Chavez's daughter is worth $6bn.

Buhari has enriched himself, his family and his cronies in like manner.

Lol. The state compels people to work for the good of the state in the hope that what ever comes out of it will be distributed equally. They are given things like health care, welfare etc. The system soon crashes as people lose incentive to innovate and work and there is no such thing as free stuff.

When I said "... I don't know...," I meant that you left me speechless.

Big time..Very lazy folks who do not want to work and earn a living wage.

They prefer 30k N-Pwer 9am-2pm teaching job were they can waste their potentials and lives even after graduating from Universities or 10k trader-moni scam for doing nothing.

When attendant poverty hits them, they go into yahoo scams or internet begging.

Anyone observing Nigeria would think Yoruba colonized you folks and rendered you poor and bitter.

"We pretend to work and the state pretends to pay us"

That quote came from a Soviet citizen depicting how useless communism is.

You do little or no work and the govt pays you little or nothing

Now that is communism for you.

In Nigeria, communism is very much alive in the northern and SW civil sector.

I agree but those socialist policies are funded by tax payers money because nothing is free. That's why Margaret Thatcher said socialism works until you run out of other people's money. Tax payers' money are generated from their capitalist systems. The kind my topic is talking about is full blown socialism. wink

Socialism is a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

All the community will go to produce and come back to share it with "laziness and indolence" Why?

The socialist policies are always a DNC initiative towards getting minority votes among black Americans.

It was Lyndon B. Johnson that began the expansion of the welfare scheme during his time as president and he was recorded as saying "They (black Americans) will be voting democrat for life"

There is nothing called "full blown socialism"! If you mean communism, just say so, or say you are speaking American.

Socialism does not function without capitalism, they are not either ors.

By any and all definition of a socialist state, Nigeria is 100% socialist.

You may not have a functional welfare scheme, but govt remains the largest employer of labour, govt earnings from natural resources funds and subsidizes the economy and the local currency.

Whatever, is China a capitalist state or a communist state? Is the Chinese system meeting the aspirations of the Chinese people? We shouldn't be too attached to dogma.
Today, the capitalist America is heavily indebted to communist China, what an irony.

Capitalism is not a form of governance but rather a way of doing business and earning a living.

All true democracies are capitalist in nature because true democracies ensure personal freedoms within the extent of the law.

Socialism aka Communism is a way of governance that demands collectivism and frowns at personal ambitions and goals. It pits the individual freedom and rights way down the scheme of things and promotes the political hierarchies needs and wants in the name of the state supreme and above everyone else.

Now, know the difference.

Lol. There is something like full blown socialism. Venezuela, under Hugo Chavez and Maduro, experienced "full blown" socialism. Infact, the so called socialist programmes in America are not strictly socialist programmes because they are funded by people's money and make use of products created by industries that are privately owned. Socialism that need capitalism is no longer socialism. grin

China has reformed. It allows capitalist venture to thrive.

It is only communist in name because it is yet to be a democracy.

Cuba has now opened up for business but are only waiting for the last remaining and ageing communist dictators from the revolution era to die out.

As I said before, Capitalism is not a form of government.

Venezuela does not practise "full blown socialism", nor is everyone paid the same! They have generals in Venezuela, with guns, which I'm 100% certain they would use if they were paid the same as janitors!

And if every one was paid the same they would be happy with Maduro and wouldn't be trying to kick him out.

But that is not entirely true my friend. The state is involved in a lot businesses in China even today. So, China is still very much a communist state.

Lol. Socialism gave Maduro the opportunity to hold power without checks and that led to a dictatorship. This is one of the reasons why socialism fails. Anyways, on the issue of equal pay, socialism eventually makes everyone equally destitute while the politicians live the high life. grin

The checks of socialism is the regulation by the community as a whole because they own the means of production, distribution, and exchange!

The community owns the means of production but the leaders are in charge and oversee the means of production. These leaders/politicians are in charge of distributing wealth/generated capital.

So, "the politicians live the high life" ? Is that because they don't receive the equal pay of the janitor?
They live the high life because they have exploited the absolute power socialism gave them as overseers of the means of production. They may spend all they want and leave little or nothing for the people. Imagine if equally distributing wealth will leave everyone with #10, won't you think that these politicians will be tempted to hoard some so as to have enough because ten naira is too small? So even if their intentions are good, they would be tempted to abuse their position and it might spiral down into a money laundering dictatorship.

Winston Churchill Quotes. Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
