This practice has been since inception. I slept outside INEC office in 2011 when I was serving then. It was PDP era then. The first election was also cancelled in 2011. So, stop wailing.

this is part of the problem we have in this country. We see certain things like suffering as a way of life. So because u experienced it and I did the same, that makes it a normal thing that should continue?? welldone!

I was an adhoc staff in 2007, 2011 and I also participated in several supplementary elections, this was how we slept outside. It's not new, so don't blame Buhari as if he's the architect of your generational problems.

I think we all agree successive governments have failed in this regard. However, citizens can do their little part to help out, its just for one night. If you have them close to you, you can accommodate that for just that night.

I'll personally agree to accomodate anyone posted around Papa Ashafa (areas close to NYSC secretariat). There won't be bed, but at least you won't be exposed to elements of weather, and you'll be provided electricity for that night, plus feeding (even if its just Koko n akara), and water will be available.

You'll however have to come with Identity that you are an ad-hoc staff, and any case of theft, I'll leave u with the security guys there.

Why not share pictures of other corpers who were properly treated also side by side with this .

This is just an incident which is condemning anyways but that does not mean that this is how they are treated all over the country.

With all the public funds These old fools steal, they cant even provide a healthy accommodation for those incharge of conducting elections that will bring them into power in order for them to steal more funds . I'm currently at one of the camps on the island in lagos and I can tell u its the same story(i wonder what the faith of those on the mainland will be especially in places like ikorodu) . People are sleeping on the ground like dogs. Others who a lucky are sleeping on benches and these are individuals that a meant to conduct a whole presidential election in a few hours time. I myself can't even sleep cos the whole place is infested with mosquitoes.... I never knew this is what ad hoc staff go through for elections until this very moment. I swear This is very very bad. Like I never expected such a thing. I've totally lost hope in this country

Just decided to participate for the sake of the experience.(u can only do nysc once) I have no regrets tho cos if not of this, when I hear someone complaining about this, I might not know it's this horrible

You can only do NYSC once doesn't mean you should be doing rubbbish. This is how you corp members usually behave and the end is not always palatable. Don't forget how NYSC members have been losing their lives in the past--always due to careless talk like, "you can only do NYSC once." Any sane person wouldn't subscribe to INEC's Ad-Hoc rubbbish but Nigeria is suffering and smiling. At the end, how much? Peanut!
