Maria thought otherwise the first day after the killing when the police came to barracade the assasination scene but since then no cop have been in sight Except for this journalist,too ugly and rough looking to be called one who came four days later to ask after her,then went to the scene to examine.She was a little bit tense about the journalist but there was nothing on the crime scene,even the limo have been returned to the state house and she as well refused to answer any question from him about the shooting.Apart from him,nobody came.That brought her thoughts to the fact that there was yet no official confirmation of the dictators

When Jide came home,Clement was no where in sight and that was good news for him.He sat on the couch and opened the envelope,he brought out the money to count "50,000comments"he said to himself.

When Clement was inside the kitchen,Jide placed the money inside his pocket,just as he was doing so,Clement came back out.It made Jide nervy,He didn't want Clement to know he has money on him,he might go on demanding for rent then he would have to blackmail Clement again.Jide feared that his power over Clement was loosing it's potency.

Was awkward,It was clear to all that Clement had clearly seen Jide put an envelope inside his pocket.He thought it was a latter to Jide from a girl and he was feeling shy.

Jide went to the brothel where he just killed someone of recently.He took a glance at all the girls he saw there and none seemed interesting to him untill he met this advanced one.She was obviouslt older but had a good body and still looked young.He recognised that she was the one who screamed at the sound of the gunshot.He felt a little bit insecure about it but waived it aside

to the scene of the assasination,luckily for him,the police were too lousy to remember to remove the trespass tape so the place was still intact.This time he was lucky,an evidence of the shooter or maybe just a clue appeared,it was a pen,a familiar one and the first thing that drew his attention was the name "JIGGA".This was Jide's pen and it didn't take long for his brain to calculate the chances of freedom this pen could buy him.He was going to use this pen as barter for secrecy as he chases Jide out of the house.He was handling this very pen that always seemed to bring trouble for anyone who held it when the army burst into his office,grabbed him,tore every single paper or computer device in his office before dragging him out into the parking lot where a car was waiting for them.No one in his place of work did anything,they all just stood from their office door,staring.They weren't putting this on the news either,infact they saw "Nada" and heard "Nada".Clement stepped on the wrong toe and he was warned....

Clement could feel death drawing ever closer as they dragged him to the parking lot.He was too ambitious,he tried too much,he should have heeded to the advice from his collegues.Now he was going to be pufforated with bullets in a parking lot.

To his surprise,they threw him inside the boot of the car and jammed the door.For Clement,any tiny life extension was welcomed at this moment.

While the car was on its way,Clement recited the "Hail Mary" a zillion times,he remembered the times as a kid when he used to dream of becoming a priest in Papaism.There was no chance of survival here again,all he wanted was for God to remember the times he spent as a good person while he was still a kid and the fact that he had abandoned cultism off-lately hence God should show him mercy with his judgement and grant him the visa to eternal life above.He cried inside the boot all through the journey that he lost his ability to cry.

He felt the car pull to a stop just then one of his abductors opened the boot to drag him out

"Now before they execute you,tell me,is there any information hidden somewhere?,mind you,there is nothing a simple journalist can do to me"Wadewaltz said,already turning his back to Clement for him to be shot.Wadewaltz isn't used to a live scene of an execution,he ordered them but he was never there to see the assasination roll-out.Clement gave a "No" to the dictator's question.

His heart ran up to his tongue when he heard the clink of a gun behind him.This was it,the end.

Just at that moment a bulb went lit inside his head,he was sure the dictator knew nothing about his assailant.If he could give him the shooter,whom he strongly believes is Jide,he could bargain for his life with that.

"S-ssuurhh"Clement said stuttering,

"And in what way?"Wadewaltz responded,turning his face to the journalist as he gestured for the shooter to hang-on.

Maria was still in ectasy,business was getting better by the day,her savings increasing,everything was moving in the right direction.She got a clue about the where-abouts of Her daughter.

She remembered when she told Wadewaltz she was pregnant,he was angry and almost executed her,he claimed he wasn't the father and she had to remind him that he insisted on not using a condom.She was playing smart-ass and refused to take any pill there after becuase she wanted to save cash and besides she never felt pregnant.When her stomach was about coming out,Wadewaltz took her to a safehouse far from her city so no one knew about her pregnancy.She had doctors and midwives attend to her there.When she gave birth to her baby,Wadewaltz appeared,took the baby and ordered the secret assasination of the doctors and mid-wives,he also asked them to kill her but had to retract that order when she lied....

That she had evidences with people in the city and that they would release it for all to see if she does not return.Wadewaltz could not risk the idea of people knowing he slept with a prostitute,so he let her live.

Clement returned to his office the next day.As soon as he stepped into the complex,everyone there stood up and was lost staring at him.They all expected that he would be dead by now.Clement just glide past with the swagger of a survivor into his office,he had nothing to say to anyone.He went inside his office to arrange the papers thrown-about and to search for the pen.

He didn't find it difficult to locate the pen.He took a deep sigh when he held it in his hand.Outside his office;his collegues stood,ears pressed firmly against the door.If he had opened the door at that moment,they would all have fallen-over into his office.

At a club,Jide was seated at the backstage of a tiny stage located by the side of the Bar of the club.He had like 5 minutes to prepare for his live performance.
