I had a semi-chat with a friend Nerd on Nairaland and i reached a begging question which is WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON UNDERAGE MARRIAGE. We can confidently say marriage involving couple under the age of 18 is an under-aged one. I want to learn from your anticipated post and i am sure many would too. |

So would support Underage marriages by saying I think that people do fall in love at a young age. Sometimes it does not work out and sometimes it does. But isn't that the same with older couples? there are older couples that just fall out of love and they got married at an older age. They say they believe love comes with many ages. But for me i would say that someone who is not of an age to be given full responsibility for their life should not be encouraged to marry and start a family. The permission of young marriage comes from a prudish(Wonder why Yerima still live there)era where marriage was regarded as a prerequisite for sex. This is no longer the case. We need to accept that teens, whilst being normally sexually active, are simply not mature enough to marry. Lets hear your take. |
