We are very quick to judge in this part of the world.. The girl and the boys are now a disgrace that no one should be associated with.. When an unfortunate thing like this happens, the society ought to convert it to an opportunity to xray and talk about the lessons it came with. The burial service of the lady should have been an opportunity to talk some people out of drugs.. Yes, believe it or not, they are still students in that school that are still deep into drugs (sale and intake).

Tramadol can be deadly as it is capable of shutting down the heart especially when taken in overdose.
It's just unfortunate that we are in a country where the government cares less about regulating drug use. If not, trams is a drug reserved strictly for medical use and should only be dispensed by a qualified pharmacist upon prescription by a medical doctor.
But here, everybody sells trams anywhere. It's too bad!

Meanwhile, I'll not join those condemning the victims. They got access to the drugs because government failed in her responsibilities.

The female victim among three out of the four students , who died at Sunshine Castle Hostel , Ihiagwa , Owerri , Imo State , Onyinyechi Okafor, during a sex romp , has been buried.

The victims had died after allegedly taking Tramadol tablets and Indian hemp before embarking on a sex spree .

She was buried on Thursday at her hometown in Ihiala , Anambra State , our correspondent gathered , even as some students disclosed that course mates to the victims were prevented from attending the funeral.

Southern City News gathered that while the three male victims were students of FUTO , Okafor was a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede , Owerri .

But an undergraduate of the polytechnic, said that the school management barred her course mates from attending the burial.

The Rector of the institution , Michael Arimanwa , our correspondent learnt, threatened that any student of the school , who attended the burial would be sanctioned .

He ( rector ) was said to have been irked by the shameful circumstance leading to the death of the female undergraduate .

The source said , “The female victim , Onyinyechi Okafor, has been buried. She was buried on Thursday in Ihiala , Anambra State .

“She was a HND One student of Pharmaceutical Technology . The rector warned her course mates not to attend the burial or be associated with her funeral rites .

“You know that our rector is a priest . He was saddened by the shameful stories surrounding the death of the girl .

“ The management warned that any student who attended the burial would be sanctioned . That was why every student stayed away from the burial.”

You're the first person that have sensed that the Priest is discriminatory after the first page here. First, the priest has no right about what student use their time for outside of the university/polytechnic. He cannot make that pronouncement like he is in the village meeting or some sort of junior secondary school. I wish they defiled him and sue him so he would learn some lesson

second, the cause of death is an assumption probably because tramadol and indian hemp was found on the death scene. Autopsy is what really tell us the cause of death. One would assume the head of the institution would champion this direction. If someone else has poisoned their drink, justice should be serve. All too often, we allow criminals to go scot-free in our society while we blame victims for their end.

Third, this is an opportunity to lead the action for youth education on drug abuse and other social ill in the school system by the priest, they have a poster girl already and talking about drug abuse would make sense to everyone. Of course, many youths are still going through the process of making the right choice in the face of many social malady. How many of them are rightly mentored? the death is the failure of our society and parents and not the deceased.
