How I Was Scammed At Onitsha Computer Villa. by Nobody: 7:10pm On May 30, 2019 |
Greetings to nlanders..here comes the gist and update on my experience buying a brand new phone in one of the notorious ICT plaza in Onitsha... It all started on friday morning, I summoned courage to get a new phone after loosing one few days ago, all I care to have is a new big phone to serve me well. Right here in my street, the brand i could wish for is not available and i had to get it from the horses mouth. I set for onitsha.down there everything looks genuine and i was prepared not to be scammed. I have been scammed at ikeja computer villa by one calabar guy where i went to but a big phone of 90k for 30k.chai greediness choked me then sha.. Right here in onitsha i wondered through the busy shops nd plazas just staring anyhow i like, until i saw one extreme beautiful lady, i felt bitter i couldnt reach her, she was inside a shop with a hansome guy also. Chai i took a deep breath and caution my though to behave well.. While trying to face my bisiness there, a guy kept on pressing me to check and buy from him, he looks so innocent, i gave in. Requested for tecno k9. We bargained and concluded on 30k .cartoon broken, phone lightly checked nd tested. I trusted him to giving me a nice, there he made some efforts to scam me through carlcare registration but my instint rejected,i set for home, charged phone for complete 8 hrs before it could get filled, while phone was taking time to full charge i was even happy atleast it could read to a strong lasting battery. But i was very wrong i was played! While setting up the phone i discovered it was draining fast beyond control. I became suspicious of the whole deal. Checking some features in the phone,it somehow different from the k9 i had used. Damn! my enemy had caught me,the phone intentionally drained down in less than 2hrs. (a supposed 3400mah battery) the phone was hanging crying limited space (2gb ram).chai i started sweating i had no clue how to return the phone back as the receip says no refund of money after payment.. I held my self and retired to bed in agony a day after i had to open a thread seeking advice how to return the phone back. I got some tips and decided to get back to them on monday since it was weekend.. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Buy from a licenced dealer like slot so that we won't have to frequently comment on threads like this. Slot no fit scam you. Forget the cheap price and stuff. Go for quality and assurance. I learnt the hard way though. When I carry fufu reach house wey I think say na.phone. I just use the soup wey dey house chop am. Come fast for like 3 days. 45k fufu no suppose quick digest 248 Likes 17 Shares |

The whole weekend seems unending,i was loosing patience and pained.it came to pass .here is monday,i set for the plaza again, right there i pretended to the seller that he should help me change the phone that the phone space (ram) is a barrier to me that he could help get a change as he had told me that nothing big he can do for me but he would asist me get another one of my choice with 3gb ram. It was infinx note 5. He talked and we begained that i will balance him additional 10k to get the phone.. Since theres no outright refund of money. I needed gionee but they dont sell such. I have limited choice since i must choose from his shop. I begged him that i wouldnt want any funking play again.he assured me of the quality. I left there again with some feels of releive, got to house and charged it again, this time it wasnt long charge it charged up in less than 3hrs.. Hmmmm i started having the feelings again, and while setting phone up again it drained down within 2hrs (supposed 4500mah)and it started hanging and apps crashing(3gb ram) .chai it haff do! I couldnt sleep well again, i even had bad dreams since i slept off very sad....... Ill be back later to complete the torri.. Wait for me. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Good things don't come cheap, @op sorry you had a bad experience. Experience teaches but isn't the best teacher. You were scammed in Ikeja while looking for a big phone at cheap price then you followed the same pattern in onitsha and got scammed. That proves that its one Nigeria Good things cost money, no shortcuts. 19 Likes 1 Share |

You should return it. If you are sure what you bargained for wasn't what you got. If they refuse to change the phone, report to their security office. The place might look rowdy, but it actually has very nice organisation. 3 Likes |

I woke up on tuesday morning. I was weak and upset, my spirit is angry with me. I felt it, tried to say a prayer no no no!! Am naturally angry. I managed to coordinate my actions with people around,my anger rose very high. now am ready for the worst. I was scammed twice.am nolonger interested in the phone again, i want to punch someone,i want to stab someone, i want to take somebody to court, i want to be moving someone from cell to cell till am satisfied.imagine a whole me. No no no, maybe not in this country i was born and bred.am loosing my head.got dressed up for a fight i never knew how it goona end.i had to place a call to a good friend with FSARS Awkuzu. He wasnt around in the city then he tried to hook me up with colleagues, theyre much busy and demanded i give them a day or two to hook me up. Damn!!!... Am not interested in them again.i tried to hook up with hood boys ,i graduated from Anambra versity and was a salted fellow.i tried to get them cordinated but boys told me the security at the plazas where strong.. I had to check on from using the gun yielding vigilantes guarding the every plaza or the Nigeria police .Now i was scared of using the plaza management security since theyll try to bid to the favour of their investors.shun...i have to use the police.. Am determined. Got to onitsha, went straight to the nearest police and after some explanations to them, theyre ready to go arrest with me. I cough out 4k to them to get two well built men. We matched to the plaza and got to shop. Police did their officia call to the seller to report to office for a complaint as DPO has sent for him. He'll have to follows us. But then their security came and demanded nd begged we meet the management first before station things. Okay .we agreed and here we are in their office.... After much peace talking and nice judgement. I was bent on wisking the guy away. I want to lock him first before coming for his out of jurisdiction case transfer to a far away cell .the office was hot, voices are on the high, the police guys are my judge already defending my ignorance. Chai!!.las las my police guys compromised with their management and begged that they'll get me another original phone .okay my blood was getting cold, ive no option since the NPF guys have bidded with them. Now ive spent 40k on the fake phone. I need another original phone of same price range to finalise the case..... I asked for infinx hot 7.it was inquired around several shops in the market and price is at the range of 40k nd above..the seller insisted that he wont sell bellow 45k..the case got rise again when they're to bargain that ill have to pay additional 5k for the infinix. Now i got sparked, dis is d Fucking shit,i had to attempt leaving all of them there for another option. I was calmed down nd another round table bargaining ensured. After dat the both party resolved it and i was given the original infinix hot 7.i even asked of hot 6.there i was told no original infinix hot 6 in the market again. Chai..... Devil is a liar. I got scammed but the end justifies the means. Its against my will and budget but las las i got some reason to be happy sha.... Brothers and sisters if you would buy a new phone with big budget ,dont just buy any model more than 18months from day of launch.. You might get scammed.. All this fake phones i was issued, if you see how it was factory packed and nothing physical would tell you it was a clone phone...... Bellow are the pisc of the phones 15 Likes |

calddon: Lol my broda. I wasn't interested in the cheap part. Ive had experience of it 2 yrs ago at ikeja. My 30k was changed to paper wraped with 1k on a broad day light.. i felt it was my fault and greediness..but the guys jazz played me,once they touched the money, theyll find a way to return it to you and dissolve the deal. Gan!!! Your money will disappear.the guy that played me didnt put hands to his pocket, i was watching him,he didnt even let his hands down. It wasnt a tactics. It was jazz the deal is that he touched the money. Right here in onitsha, i ingnored all the street guys shouting you wan buy, you wan sell. Ingnored all the opened phones on the showcase, went for a shop that looks like a branded tecno dealer.with hope to buy original phone, but the guy outsmart me. 12 Likes 1 Share |
