Okay. Here:

If you have actually schedule your appointment, log in back to the site. On the landing page, look for for Appointment Confirmation and click that. You will be taken to a page, where you will see the following options: Email Appointment Confirmation, Download Appointment Calendar, Printable Version

Click on printable version and a page with pdf version of your confirmation will pop up. Save the pdf as you may wish.

Best of luck.

You should add him as dependent. You should not really create his profile.

Can I still do that, now that he already has his own profile? If its possible, how do I do it? Thanks for all your help.
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by fairheart(m): 4:11pm On Jun 18, 2019
Possibly.

Log in back and start off as though you are picking a new date for the first time. Answer all the questions where necessary. You will get to a part where there is question regarding dependent information. That is where you will fill in your boy's details. It is not really hard.

I actually used uncle as sponsor. Although I have a scholarship and full tuition waiver with a deficit less than $8k. Still on AP for now. So I think it depends on how you handle the VO.
hollateejay:
Please I noticed that people who have their visa approved are sponsored by their Dad/mom/husband, tuition waiver, stipend or no tuition waiver, most people who mention uncle, with part tuition waiver and stipend have been denied as I have been reading. Please has anyone come across tuition waiver, stipend with a deficit and sponsored by an uncle, to be honest I think if you answer the questions correctly the final deciding factor is the relationship of the person who sponsors you, I have read up to 60 VO interviews and this has seemed to me like the deciding factor.

A big shout out to Lagosismyhome, Fairheart and the rest of the guys that are dedicated to this thread.

Visa approved. Abuja

Me: Good morning!
VO: Good morning, your passport and I-20
(passed it)
VO: Have you ever traveled out of the country?
Me: Yes
VO: Which countries?
Me: A few countries in Europe and Africa (didn't say this. I just named them)
VO: Are you married?
Me: No
VO: What do you want to do with the degree?
Me: I intend to use the specialised skills that I'd acquire in organic synthesis to explore local plants with pharmaceutical (nodding) and cosmetic potential here in Nigeria where it is in abundance. (not as fluent as written but she got the point) I also wo.. (interrupts and passes white paper and explained when I'd get my passport back)

** I must admit, reading through this thread made me take my whole life's documents along. Birth certificate, bank statements, sponsor's letter of consent, waec, neco, nysc, association membership card, nepa bill, police clearance, estate levy etc cheesy cheesy except my GTB receipt. Well, better over-prepared than not at all.

Travel history and funding might have played a role for me but one thing I understood well and is the essence of the interview is that it is a non-immigrant visa application and everyone is presumed an immigrant until one proves otherwise at the interview. The DS-160 form is the other part, very important.

I prepared by anticipating a lot of questions that may arise from my submitted DS form, information on I-20, and my program...under the theme of "PROVE NON-IMMIGRANT INTENT" as the VOs on suspiscion of immigrant intent are by law, bound to reject such application.

Good luck to other hopefuls and those on AP.

It would be good practice to use an inverted pyramid approach in answering questions, sort of the style they use in writing newspapers where the all you need to know in an article is in the first paragraph. The interview is short, barely over 5 minutes and everyone gets interrupted at some point. so better to eliminate all the wordiness and go straight to the point. To the pith and core of the matter.

Good luck again. See you in Stockholm at this year's Nobel's.

Congratulations, Proudly Chemist, Go and Excel

you very much for your email of interest in my work and our departmental PhD. I reviewed your materials with interest of my own – you have a wealth of related training and experience! Your work with undernutrition in young children is truly important, needed research.

Unfortunately, I presently have no open positions and am not accepting any doctoral students at this time. I wish you success in your academic endeavors.

Sincerely,

Got this response from my POI and I intend to ask her if she can recommend another colleague of hers so that I can reach out to the person. Is it correct for me to do?

I don't think you have anything to lose here if you do so.
You can as well dig more to find more contacts.

Hi guys, my visa was approved around 9:50am today at Abuja.

After I had replied the VO's greeting and request for passport and I-20, these followed:

VO:- Why Tufts?

My response :- Tufts is a highly prestigious university and its CS department offers ML research specialization which is of interest to me.

VO:- Where did you have your bachelor's degree?
My response:- Here in Nigeria at Bleep university.

VO:- What will you do after your program?
My response :- I would return to Nigeria to pick up a lecturing job at my Alma mater.

VO:- Your visa has been approved.
My response :- Thanks
VO:- You're welcome.

All thanks to God.

Thanks for reviewing my mock transcript @Brown2Green and @Bracelum.
Congrats dear!

Generate your coupon here here: https://www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/index.html#.
Send it to your uncle to take it to Western union with $210. Note, the fee is $200 but there is about $10 charge for transfer.
It is as simple as that.

You can go to fmjfees.com , fill in your 1-901 form , when you do that . There’s a coupon you’ll print . Your uncle can either pay by mail (this takes about 5 days ) or courier , or he can take the coupon to western union with the money and transaction would be received immediately. Instructions on how to pay would be on the coupon . Go to fmjfees.com to register first

VO: Why did you choose this school?
i: I chose GSU for three reasons
First, the School offer program on human rights and social work within International & Domestic contest
Second, the school have education exchange program that allow me to learn from top social agency
Third, I was awarded scholarship which cover Tuition for the program

VO: What would this program do for you?
i: It will enable me to take offer from top organization that provides aids/reliefs for IDP
VO: Did you apply to other schools?
i: Yes
VO: Mention them
i: OU & UNCG
VO: How do you intend to sponsor your program?
i: I was awarded scholarship that covers Tuition
VO: I can see some deficit here
i: Yes, other expenses are to be sorted by my uncle and from my personal savings
VO: Starring at the SOA
i: I quickly mentioned the name of my uncle
VO: you will need to provide Six months of SOA for all accounts, as one of the SOA was printed in March
i: I will do the needful
VO: I hope you know that you will be ban to enter US if you provide fake documents
i: Sure, I know
VO: issued yellow paper and asked re-submit 6 months( end in May) submit original SOA to DHL

THE ISSUES
I had deficit of $20k
Uncle account $ 20.2k
My account $1k as at May end, while i submitted account till June 9 which is around $7k

VISA REFUSED

I would like to change sponsor since the account may not
What are best ways to re-fire

Many thanks.
