There's no country or big organization that is not involved in industrial or political espionage directly or indirectly.

Every country uses their private tech companies for spying and US is number one culprit: HP, Dell, Apple, Google, Facebook, yahoo, name it. That's why they are so conscious of China using Huawei and ZTE for the same purpose.

At least we can understand the USA, they are open. We know were to catch them when they bleep up. China is different. My uncle who worked in China for years, will always tell you that Chinese are worst than Americans and Europeans.

Without rare earth elements, there won't be smart phones and other gadgets in the first place, a phone would be 3 times bigger than a laptop, so Chinese manufacturers have access to rare earth elements in abundant.

Let's see if people will buy cheap useless phones, if you think Huawei will use apps belonging to American companies without their permission then you have a problem.

Do you have a link where it was stated that, the new OS will run all android app?

It is like saying that, one can run windows apps on a Mac OS....and if they built native support for android apps, it will effectively cut down on the performance of the new OS as it will be too bunks with too many kernels.

Best option is to attract developers to develop for their new platform, which will be very tricky, because it will require additional investment from current app owners.

Without android support, their mobile business is as good as dead. It'll take too long for developers to start developing specifically for Huawei. The android support is a great move. If Windows, RIM and other OSs had support for running android apps, they'll still be alive by now

Though the author also qualified his statement about ‘compatibility with android’ with skepticism and the fact that, it has not been confirmed and that it could be a bluff by Huawei.

For the OS to truly be compatible with android, they must work with android and in the least maintain some technological license with Google. And if Google as it is now is suspending their licenses and working relationships with Huawei briefly due to the US sanctions, any statement by Huawei that this is an actual fallback OS is just a bluff.
