Wema is not wothless, started the year at 2 naira plus and it will surely end the year having 6-10 times that price
Transcorp depends on when you enter. Even if you had bought the all expensive po,  had sold a couple of units at 9 and rebuy at around 4-5, you will be in a much better position.
this year has also been very profitable for prestige shareholders
When you buy, when you sell, what you buy, what to hold are equally important decisions.
you are young and you have the desire to learn and potential to be a an even better investor,
your 70k could be 700k in 3yrs, but you'd have to devote time tho

I heard that the GTA private placement closed last december and that they went for 65k/share with a minimum purchase of 1Million shares. Are you saying that they are doing another round of PP or that people who bought the PP are selling? Please clarify as to what exactly is going on.

If you've acquired shares through IPO's, you should take your shares to a broker and get your certificates verified. Add your 70k and you should be good to go. Good stocks include Crusader Insurance and Nig-German Chemicals.

Thank God we don't have to wait forever again after IPOs and POs.

In a bid to improve the efficiency of the Nigerian Capital Market, the regulatory authorities - The Nigerian Securities & Exchange Commission and The Nigerian Stock Exchange; held a meeting with stakeholders (Issuing Houses and Stockbroking Firms) in the market today and the following decisions were AGREED UPON:

1. Henceforth, all public offers would be alloted via electronic means into Investor's CSCS account, this presupposes that before investors apply for public offers they are expected to have brokerage account with a stockbroking firm.

2. Certificates would ONLY be issued if investors fail to supply their CSCS account details on the application form.

3. Central Bank of Nigeria will no longer have to go through the verification process before allotment of the shares as was the case in previous offerings. This has been a bottle neck in allotments for previous public offers because of the beureaucracy involved. However, if there is any need to verify or investigate any application this would be done after the shares has been alloted.

The above decisions have thus been taken to strengthen investors confidence in the market.

At that price, my forward PE is 21. I like forward PEs 15-, but for such high growth, I could make an exception. Lasaco is quite strong but Crusader seems a little stronger.

@ temmie10, i have three stocks that i fell are worthconsidering, they might give maximum appreciation in the near future. they are beta glass, boc gases and university press.
beta glass has already been talked about a little bit.
boc gases and university press have very low pes in their respective sectors, i dont know much about them in terms of projections but they seem to be a buy recomendation with many brokers and its price earnings are quite low.
wuill do more research to keep u posted but u can take a look at them urself.
