One thing I like northerners for is their ability to be successful without making noise.

Check the top estates in this Lagos, you will see them enjoying their lives without making noise unlike some chest beaters who won't let us rest with their drug monies.

How many times have you seen Dangote children go to their villages for the sole purpose of flaunting their cars?
Do you mean like DJ copy?

Money makes the world go round and round and round......
But Buhari who is your master thinks that having money means that you are corrupt, even though his son, Yusuf can buy two power bikes worth millions without any source of legal income.

TSRC:

The scandinavia and even most parts of the west with the exception of america.

Scandinavian countries like Norway, iceland, denmark and finland have a very even wealth spread.
You hardly hear of their multi billionaires because they don't really exist.
But nearly 100% of their citizens are living the best life on earth.
Democratic socialism is not an ideal system of Governance; might be functional during periods of wealth such as the Scandinavians are currently experiencing but it ultimately caves in on itself because it is a Ponzi scheme.

Think about it, you pay an inordinate amount of tax used to sustain less productive members of your society, ultimately the productive ones lose all motivation to produce; for example in Denmark, you're taxed up to 60% once your household income exceeds 80k, the effect is that people earn up to 70k then stop and let the govt fill in their excess requirement. This is why you no longer see big firms emerging from the Scandinavians.
Apart from Norway's sovereign wealth funds, that country's economy will crash soon enough once North Sea Oil drys up and the people will return to drying cod fish/panla, same thing with Sweden et.al.
Capitalism means competition, the job of Governementis to provide a level playing field, you need to go out and get yours while using thelaw as a weapon...many Nigerians don't even have lawyers, they don't know how easy it is to use the law to make money.

This is neoliberalism in its most brutal form. Your arguments are plausible but life isn't always in black and white.

Remember that human ability isn't equally distributed. And "ability" in this sense includes mental faculties... Motivation, 'gifts', talents, etc. Not everyone is 'blessed' equally.

Yes you can say that whosoever doesn't want to hustle should go to hell, but the problem is that that would be referring to the majority. In every capitalist society, the majority actually hustle more than the minority, but their hustle NEVER translates to a decent quality of life. This has been the case since even before the Industrial Revolution till date.

You MUST cater to the poor and discontented majority, whether you like it or not, otherwise the result would be chaos. That's why, in the Western world, you can never compare the overall standard of living and quality of life of capitalist behemoths to their welfarist counterparts.

Have you ever wondered why their line of business has to do with crude oil? The cabal that benefits from every imaginable fraud in the oil and gas sector, yet naive Nigerians think them to be a model.

And the same estate you are talking about, plenty of those chest beaters you are talking get there own properties there.

Many people will come online and be making noise. And those estate you are talking about, is strictly secured. If you are not a resident, you can't even get access to it. Noise makers everywhere

Funny enough these "woke communists" reside in capitalist countries while spreading the gospel of a system that does not align with human nature. grin

Nigerians should hold their governments (elected by the vast majority) accountable not private individuals.

The commandments of the Biblical God are from a vastly superior point of view and even this God understands that humans are not created equal though kindness must be encouraged - Deut. 15 v. 11.

An ideal Government is one that maintains equality of opportunity, it is beyond any form of Government to guarantee equality of outcomes.

Charity and altruism must be at the individual's whim. Timidity should never be a national character. Nothing stops you from going out there and competing with these people...are they better than you?

Read my post again, you will find that the answer to this question is rooted in my earlier comment. Abilities are not the same. No matter how hard you try, you will not achieve anything near what some people can easily achieve in certain fields.
