There's nothing new about this. Africans do this ALL THE TIME. For example, Nigerians are always mocking Ghanaians for being dark skinned.

A lot of this aggressive "I'm Black and proud" noise you hear up and down doesn't actually have anything to do with racial pride, rather it is just a manifestation of the inferiority complex a lot of Africans seem to be born with.

If being black isn't a problem to you, you wouldn't have to keep reassuring yourself of it by constantly shouting "I'm black and proud!" all the time.You would simply take your racial identity for granted without any unnecessary "gra gra"
