I asked a rhetoric question about Zambia & I doubt very much that they allow just about anyone to build on their land without permission. I also mentioned countries that restrict people to campsites. If it was a free-for-all in every country, people wouldn't be living in tents on camp grounds. But in South Africa, people are given the opportunity to live at any part of the country & rent like everyone else, just don't build illegal structures at will.
That's why we have the internet. The information on grants & shacks is easily accessible to you on the net, so you don't have to rely only on my words.

Of course it adds much value, because Zimbabweans live freely in South Africa, but put others in camps in their country. The hypocrisy of other Africans is glaring & yet the South Africa that does more than any other country for refugees is criticized for not doing enough, when others don't even bother to assimilate refugees into their communities. If you don't see the interconnection in this, oh well.

Y are u asking a rhetorical question about Zambia if u aren't ready to defend ur rhetorics? Aren't we dealing with facts? How can u doubt what happens in Zambia when u don't no jack about what happens there?

At first u say foreigners of African origin are allowed to build shacks& illegal structures "everywhere" in SA yet it's d same u who said that there are laws in SA. If there are laws in SA, then y are foreigners of African origin allowed to build shacks & illegal structures "everywhere" in SA? U are all over d place with ur argument.

There are 54 countries on d continent & u have used just one country as a basis to judge d remaining 53 or 52 countries even though u don't no what happens in those other countries. That's very scientific.

U still haven't been able to address this
lexy2014:

In which countries in Africa are other African nationals not assimilated into d community? In which African countries are other African countries refused d same services as d indigenes? Have u been to other African countries to conclude that immigrants don't own shacks& illegal structures there? When u say "everywhere", are u sure of what u saying or u just exaggerating?

He is right... If I were South Africa's president, I would never grant visa free status to a nation mired in economic drudgery, whose citizens are trying to emigrate in ridiculous numbers...

Ghana on the other hand has a flourishing economy with her citizens not seeing fellow African countries as greener pastures... It's just common sense.

It's easier for Germany to grant such status to Iceland and Luxembourg than to Iran, Malaysia, or Mexico.

Yet, within this "economic drudgery", thrives MTN, DSTv, Shoprite, et al.
If a country's citizens
and economy aren't good enough why invest there?
I'll bet SA makes much more money in Nigeria compared with Ghana.
Citizens with pride and worth irrespective of the state of the nation, will boycott all services from SA.

Comprehension seems to be your problem. I never said foreign nationals are allowed to build shacks in South Africa. I said they forcefully built them, ignoring the law, hence my use of the word, "Illegal structures". It's been an ongoing issue for a while now, after some were forcefully removed from government houses, which again, they occupied illegally. There have been reports of such cases from Limpopo, right down to Cape Town. South Africa offers help to refugees in the form of shelters & other living arrangements, but the construction of illegal structures is unacceptable.

The rest I don't care to address again. It's not my problem you're too slow to comprehend what I'm saying.

This is what I read. Where is d "forcefully" in ur comment below?:

In South Africa, you're assimilated into the community & for the most part, receive the same services as South Africans. Can I go to Zambia & build myself a shack? I doubt it. But in South Africa we have shacks owned by immigrants everywhere. They feel so at home that they do as they please & make demands on our government that they'll never dare to make on their government back home.

D information provided on ur screenshot contradicts d so called accommodating& lenient nature of south Africans as u were trying to paint it. D report said that even legal migrants suffer "widespread discrimination & xenophobia" in SA. It also said that migrants "pay bribes to access accommodation" in SA because they are discriminated against. Pls who do they pay d bribes to? Isn't it to south Africans? D report also made a distinction about legal migrants. So it isn't possible 4 an illegal migrant to ask 4 child support & services citizens enjoy. I thought u should no that based on ur comprehension.

In terms of comprehension, it seems u didn't read d report or maybe u read it& u didn't no what it said. U have been contradicting urself all d way in d course of our exchanges.

My good man, South Africa is not the sole "oppressive" nation feeding fat off this country. China, Germany, Swiss, Lebanon, etc are equally amassing exceptional profits off our human and capital resources, yet refusing to grant our "emigrating" citizens visa-free privileges.

Investing in a nation is a grant from the government of that nation, due mostly to tax gains from such investments... Your country equally profits from such South African investments. That you don't see the effects of such profits is not the investor's problem, rather at the feet of your leaders... Let's stop being emotional about these basic diplomatic facts. Nigerians are fast becoming every developed nation's immigration nightmare. Putting a check on their entry is sacrosanct to maintain a nation's economic integrity... If you can't objectively grasp this reality, then there is nothing further I can do for you.

I have reiterated it on this forum, that fleeing this nation will not be sustainable in the long run... Forget xenophobia, soon mass deportations of Nigerians across the globe will become more than a bad dream...

This nation must grow, and get back her dignity among African nations, or violently/peacefully disintegrate, cos this mass exodus to serious nations can never be sustainable. A word is enough for the wise.

Get real people. Nigeria's population is 200 million. Ghana's is 28 million. Granting visa free access to Nigerians to South Africa will lead to heavy migration that that country cannot possibly handle. It makes no sense for them to grant Nigerians visa free access when they still have a huge population of deprived people in SA that need attention. I wouldn't take this personal at all. We are a huge country.

Some points though but US, China, Hongkong that are Visa free to many countries have huge population.

Looooooool. I reiterate, the internet is there for you to crosscheck my assertions. But I refuse to do that for you.
2ndly, the government (which happens to be black) offers accommodation to refugees in the form of shelters etc. However, leasing companies (which are privately owned, mostly by other races) are discriminatory towards Africans from other African countries & Asians, mainly because they thrash their buildings when they have them as tenants. Many privately owned buildings have been flagged down or demolished by the municipality for that reason. That is a loss to the owners, hence most of them don't take foreign nationals as tenants. It is the same black South Africans that come to the rescue of other Africans by providing them with accommodation at much cheaper prices.
