Ekiti State and Promasidor to partner on revitalizing the Ikun Dairy Farm, currently owned by the Ekiti State Government.

The farm, when operational, is expected to run as a PPP, where Ekiti provides the existing facility, necessary infrastructure & security; while Promasidor will provide capital, technical expertise & execute the route to market strategy, required to drive a sustainable partnership.

The dairy farm is billed to provide evaporated milk with a view to increasing protein intake in the state, have the goals of providing employment opportunities and boosting the economy of the state.

The Ikun Dairy facility, which was established at Ikun Ekiti in the Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State (then old Ondo State) during the period of President Shehu Shagari in the ’80s has remained in deplorable condition and unused under subsequent administrations.

I wonder what all these teachers of animal husbandry are doing.
Cows are one of the easiest animals to ranch.
And the profit is bae

All states should encourage her citizens to go into rearing cows.
las las Fulanis will be useless.

Animal rearing has gone beyond walking around aimlessly, they loose more calories and increase risk of getting an infection or even spreading some within the eco system.

Something the fulani herdsmen would have taken advise and listened to grievances , now they are about losing dominance of the cattle market and dairy milk .

Animal rearing has gone beyond walking around aimlessly, they loose more calories and increase risk of getting an infection or even spreading some within the eco system.

Ranching is still done in all parts of the world.

On the other hand, intensive husbandry leads to fat accumulation and obesity in animals. This affects their health and the safety of their meat and milk to consumers.

There's no need to reinvent a working wheel. That's the benefit of diversity in our society. A culture has a passion for animal rearing, the government should give them necessary support for improvement.

Another culture enjoys reading, studying, research and innovation the government should support them.

Another loves travelling to buy and sell the government should support them.

No need to fight. There's more than enough space for everyone in this country. We should all compliment each other.

Peace.

This same Ikun Dairy farm that millions of Naira, Imported Dairy cows and Facilities were wasted during Segun Oni and nothing came out of it. This time around Theory X approach should be implemented so that something will come out.
Good Development anyway.

Which milk? Is it the cows Audu Ogbeh said produces less than one litre of milk in a day?
