Believing in man made god for protection rather than believing in God

Matthew 6:33 King James Version (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Today people are seeking material things (prosperity) instead of God.
Putting their hope/trust in their Church bangle, stickers, banner etc.
How come the GOs moves with tight security(convoy) while the members are made to believed that their protection is in the bangle being sold to them?
Funny enough some of the people carrying this bangle even when committing crime.

Every god (including the Christian God) is man made.
