It's stupidity if the op doesn't know enough to go and buy meat if you're expecting visitors. No offence. On the off chance people show up when you have nothing in your pot of stew, simply explain the same. Things dont have to be this complicated. 2 Likes |

LillyVal: Firstly, There's nothing in a 'meat.' And secondly, I won't be (the one) making any decision about that, you know why? They are elderly African women, so they'll usually forego it and let the other person take it. I see older people around me do it a lot - passing something (a seat, drink, money etc) to the other person until one finally accepts it.My mom will most definitely let MIL take the meat. 3 Likes |
