True about the infatuation thing. Some get infatuated at first and that's why if they get into the relationship, they'll get out saying " I didn't know that was how he/she was. The truth remains that it's still attraction of some sort that starts whatever you feel up. That's why you've got to watch with widely open eyes.

For me, it's all about the initial attraction. How can you be in love with or infatuated with someone you first meet? That seems a little off to me...

If you're falling in love with a secondhand account of a person, you may be putting the person on an unrealistic pedestal. Call me a cynic, but I don't believe in love at first sight. Lust at first sight, yes...

Maybe to you. Maybe your definition of love is just having plain old sex, sex and more sex. IMHO, love is way more than that. Sex should be one of the benefits/ingredients of love. Pity, hollywood and western culture has been telling us otherwise.

I never said anything about sex!! I'm just being realistic about love. Nna, I think you misunderstood me. I'm one of the biggest advocates of love. I just don't think it's immediate upon seeing someone.

I think attraction comes first cos no matter what,one thing must attract u to the other person before u start feeling infatuation/love as the case maybe.

I also agreed with u. A cousin of mine saw this lady's picture in a family friend's house and right after then, they got communicating thru phone and before u say Jack Robbinson my cousin was already talking about love and that he would make sure he gets married to the lady in question. 3 months after, they met themselves at the Village and they remain the best love birds I have ever seen. The wedding bell rings May this year.

The truth of the matter is that there is actually nothing like LOVE. All that u can ever have is either attraction or infatuation.
This is because before two get close there must be something will attract one or both of them to want to know more about one another. which mean attraction come first. But in the course of d relationship, should anything remove that thing that attracted one to the other, every other thing ever talked about (love affection etc 0 starts loosing value

I agree with what you just said. It is possible to Love someone at the first sight of seeing the person. Maybe you've been hearing so much about the person like @ynot said. That will make eager to meet him/her. And with that said You've already have the feeling "LOVE" before you meet the person. What do you think?

Definitely attraction.

Infatuation? Well, no. Infatuation doesn't happen with me.
As I get to know the person, over time, I either start to like, or dislike the person, based on personality.

If nothing works out, I forget about it and move on.
