I am not surprised.

I never saw any videos of deaths. Just old videos. But one nigerian has lost his life in lagos for no reason. Nigerian bloggers are very irresponsible.

The presidency is so insensitive, does Lauretta lives in SA.

May God bless Nigerians, for once we spoke in one voice to condemn the evil act of South Africans against Nigerians in South Africa. We are a united people who got divided along ethnic, political and religious line.

Nigeria will be great again

United. Madam Oby came to my mind....

The President Muhammadu Buhari led federal government on Wednesday said that no Nigerian was killed in the latest xenophobic attacks in South Africa, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV had reported that properties worth millions of naira, belonging to Nigerians in South Africa, were set ablaze with many others looted by South Africans.

President of the Nigeria Union in South Africa, Comrade Adetola Olubajo, said the attacks began on Sunday morning in Jeppestown area of Johannesburg.

Mr Olubajo said in a statement that the mob “looted several shops owned by foreign nationals”, adding, ”but the police later dispersed the angry mob and made some arrest.”

But reacting, Lauretta Onochie, Buhari’s Special Assistant on Social Media, said the videos being circulated on social media were not recent, insisting that no Nigerian was lost to the attack.

“No Nigerian life has been lost in South Africa in the last few days. The videos being paraded on the social media are old videos that are unrelated to Nigerians in South Africa”, she tweeted.

OK, even when situation is tense and everybody is angry, we must still endeavour to say the truth.
without underestimating the evil that has been perpetrated and still being perpetrated, I suspect he claim by that woman is true. I started having a misgiving about the purported deaths of Nigeria when BBC reported yesterday that only 7people av been confirmed dead-2being south Africans.
many of those videos may be from the far more terrible xenophobic incidence of 2015 or other unrelated events. the internet as a notorious and worrying history of this.

I would have blasted the government but the two videos I have seen have been confirmed to be unrelated to the killings
Last last we are our greatest problem
