Popular Israeli preacher, Benny Hinn, has stated that he would be taking a change from his prosperity gospel which he had been known for over the years. During a Facebook live broadcast, the controversial televangelist announced that he is undergoing a correction of his theology that made him and his family millions.

Benny Hinn who has been an advocate of obtaining blessings through sowing of seeds, faithful payments of tithes and offerings, delivered a full-throated rejection of the practice.

In his statement, Benny Hinn made it clear that he will never ask for $1,000 or whatever amount again because he thinks the Holy Ghost is just fed up with it.

Revealing that some Pastors may not invite him to their churches again to preach and raise money for “church projects”, Benny added that the Gospel “is not for sale.”

“I’m sorry to say that prosperity has gone a little crazy and I’m correcting my own theology and you need to all know it. Because when I read the Bible now, I don’t see the Bible in the same eyes I saw 20 years ago,” Hinn said as his followers rejoiced.

“I think it’s an offense to the Lord, it’s an offense to say give $1,000. I think it’s an offense to the Holy Spirit to place a price on the Gospel. I’m done with it. I will never again ask you to give $1,000 or whatever amount, because I think the Holy Ghost is just fed up with it. “Did you hear me?” Hinn asked as his audience responded affirmatively in high spirits.

“I think it hurts the Gospel, so I’m making this statement for the first time in my life and frankly, I don’t care what people think about me anymore,” he continued.

“When they invite me to telethons I think they will not like me anymore. Because when you look at the word of God … if I hear one more time, break the back of debt with $1,000, I’m gonna rebuke them. I think that’s buying the Gospel. That’s buying the blessing. That’s grieving the Holy Spirit. … If you are not giving because you love Jesus, don’t bother giving,” Hinn argued.

“I think giving has become such a gimmick; it’s making me sick to my stomach.”

Reacting to this, controversial Nigerian OAP, Daddy Freeze, share the video of the live broadcast and wrote;

"Benny Hinn Rebukes Seed Sowing, Calls It A Gimmick Can you guys now all see what i have been shouting about for the last 3 years? When I got the revelations that the mammon Gospel was evil, you all fought me, but you can see it now for yourselves. Good one BENNY."

Is Benny Hinn now an Antichrist for speaking out against the so-called "prosperity gospel"?

Just asking, because we were called Antichrists for doing the same thing.

Now this is coming after over forty years of his ministry, so imagine how many would have been deceived and mislead by such a false doctrine, especially considering the extent to which men respect such ones and would rather follow their teachings instead of that of Christ?

Really, really sad.

Always displaying your lack of comprehension and arguing aimlessly.
The man clearly stated he will be stopping the practice of placing price on things of the spirit like that guy who became blind for a season in Acts of Apostles tried doing.

Tithe for example is still scriptural as proven by the words of Jesus in Mathew 23:23 and even at that the term "prosperity gospel" is a loose term used to attack a wide range of doctrines.
I challenge you to define what prosperity gospel is to you if you disagree with the last statement before this and let's see.

I expect you to correct your own doctrine of "Apostle Paul's Holy Spirit teaching being Erroneous"
Or
"Jesus not being a servant and son of His Father" instead of trying to count the population of souls Benny Hinn must have misled with his doctrines.

God bless.

And Benny Hinn himself who obviously would have misled many into this Antichrist doctine, was also misled into such by men, as he said:

"The more you know the Bible the more you become biblically based and more balanced in your opinions and your thoughts, because we are influenced," Hinn said. "When I was younger, I was influenced by the preachers who taught whatever they taught. But as I've lived longer I'm thinking, wait a minute, you know this doesn't fit totally with the Bible and it doesn't fit with the reality."

So in a sense it's been a vicious circle for a very long time, but kudos to him that at least he was able to still realize the gravity of the error in such a doctrine at some point, and also come out to openly condemn it.

This is a huge deal for the Gospel of Truth.

God bless.

Readers Beware!!!
The bold part was only thrown into the article to blend into or give a wrong perception of the actual message Benny Hinn is passing, which is the next paragraph.
This is how agents of devil obfuscate God's word about tithe, offering and seeds generally through twisting of words and doctrines of great men of the faith. They twist the words of men of faith.

So says the intellectually rich, and spiritually bankrupt!

That's what has gone wrong with the church, for back then it was intellectually bankrupt, but spiritually rich!

Luke 10:21 (KJV)

21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

But today it has become the exact opposite.

Since you obviously cant challenge my knockout of your weak propaganda about benny hinn correcting his doctrines about tithes and sowing in faith, let me address another false doctrine you have been propagating on this platform.

It is that of twisting Papa's words where he said he "didn't see anywhere where Job tithe" into something else and spamming Nairaland with it in that video clip you are always attaching to your posts.

You have skillfully twisted it into something else and have been going about this board spamming threads with it.
Be warned, some of us aren't fooled for a second with such.

Anybody who thinks I am lying can check between 0:00 and 0:25 sec of that video clip to confirm. u could use clipconverter.cc to save Data/MB

"3"I tell you the truth," Jesus said,
"this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them Nigerian who sowed $1,000,000
4For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has."
- Luke 21:3-4

Benny Hinn slumps after a Nigerian sowed $1,000,000 into his ministry but doesnt slump when poor widows etcetera give. SMH
Money will turn men into ....

The "one day, everything will make perfect sense" prophetic comment, is why and how Benny Hinn can now say that he no longer holds his opinion and/or especially his perverted heretical belief anymore.

Transcript of the Video as Bishop Oyedepo preached on Job & Tithing

"You cannot see anywhere Job tithed, so his blessing was not secured. You can't find anywhere Job tithed. No. He was overly committed to giving liberally to the poor, and God was committed to bless him, but there was NO SECURITY.

If you ask the devil, one of the greatest problems on this earth today is this short man. So if I am not smart enough to secure my life, he would devastate me. But he can't reach me. I serve a covenant keeping God, and will rebuke - I won't want you to do anything just leave me to him. He would say , what is your name devourer? I rebuke you! stay off that environment.

This church began tithing on a business skill, that is we calculate what it is in everything and tithe it. See the protection, see the preservation, see the leaps and bounds of God's blessing, see how untouchable the system is, see how untouchable it is"

Please stop posting spreading lies

I have been attending winners for over two years and never for once have I seen papa climb pulpit and ask people to sow for this or that project.

He preaches on faith and that's how he gets his Money. Not by cajoling, guilt tripping or outrightly bullying the members like many prosperity gospel churches do.

Mind you this is being written by someone who attended one of those type of churches for over five years.

Nearly every damn service required sowing seed.

Even calling people outside by name and bullying them to sow.

I'm sad that Benny hinn is just coming up to say this after so many years. Quite laudable because his friends wouldn't be happy with him for this confession.

I have discovered that the truth been preached from alters isn't straight

Many people have left the church abandoned God altogether because pastor told them God was a money doubler or bet naija shop owner. Sow your salary and reap a billion dollars. Like say na so e dey work. These men would preach these feel good messages but indoors they read, research, pray, fall, rise, network etc, to rise.

But they won't tell you everything as e dey go.

Igbokwe the rice seller has been deceived that once you sow large seeds or pay your tithe everything has been solved. Rufus the student in school believes being a church worked and praying guarantees his A's in class.

No teaching that self improvement and development is the key to mastery.

Igbokwe doesn't know that to be the biggest distributor he has to employ tools other than the spiritual to be better than his competitors.

Later when Non Christians excel better than Christians , baby Christians become dissolutioned and leave the church. They don't understand that even a christian has to live balanced life.

You will not become prime minister of Egypt because your pastor said it and you screamed the loudest amen or sow your salary. You will become one because apart from it being your "destiny" to be one, because you spent over 12 years in a managerial position. You learnt the intricacies of how to manage a home despite being a foreigner and not having previous experience.

By blood sweat and tears you became so good that your boss left you to be in charge. Plus you were so honest. I mean who can find such an honest man like you.

You didn't just become an good dream intepreter at age 30. No you had to first learn , learn from your own dreams. You first forray into this experience was when you shared your first big dream with your brothers. The drama, suffering and hatred that followed taught you never to shared your dreams and visions with others till you trust them.

From interpreting your own dreams you were able to interpret your friends dreams .Then by the time you stood before a king it was easy peasy. You seemed like a god but no one knew all the years of suffering and heart ache that went into gaining such mastery.

What of Moses who's forty years "wasted life" in the wilderness was him learning the intricacies of priesthood from his father in law. He first learnt the intricacies of leadership from the royal family that adopted him grin.

Of course he didn't know and you too dont know. That's why when your pastor screams "You will go from prison to palace" you shout amen and sow. Instead of you to ask yourself "Am I ready"? Do I have what it takes to lead? Lord please help with the required tools for leadership so I don't disgrace your name and myself.

This is why there is so much corruption in Nigeria. People don't believe merit anymore. No more mastery. We all want to share testimony of how pastor said it and God did it. Miracles happen but a real Christian will know the things he must put effort.

The spirit of wisdom wouldn't have worked if Daniel wasn't reading and spending "alone time" praying and trying to decipher Gods purpose
while his friends where eating the kings meal. Forget all the bragging of your pastors they are still sometimes faithless , confused and nearly give up just like you Mr. entrepreneur, student or employee.

Mastery is a tough road to walk on. Years later, Daniel went from just being an intelligent young man to predicting things that will happen over two thousand years from his time.

Back to Benny hinn

As someone who has gained so much insight from his books I love him. But recently, I have been watching him with corner eye. The kind of people Benny Hinn has been associating with for some years now for money, power and recognition....

Okay let's analyze it.

He has been paying tithe for decades and in those decades things have gone well for him and his ministry making it one of the biggest in Africa.
To him, "This has worked for me so if it has worked for me then it should work for everyone else the way it did for me".

Did God restore Job because he tithed?

Yes or No.

These pastors don't preach the whole truth as things dey shele.

Everyone know papa is a workaholic. Everyone knows it was papa's networking with Hagin, Idahosa, Adeboye and co that made him. Everyone knows it is his strategic planning and vision that has made winners what it is today

When you look at Winners and covenant university , you will know the founder is a Visionary. He isn't the average pastor. Strategic planning with applying every cent to futuristic realization of the goal.
That man runs the church and school like a fortune 500 company. You'll know the people at the elm of affairs know beyond prayers.

But they won't preach these things so much on the altar. You know why

95% of Christians don't want to grow and that's the truth. They are baby Christians. They want milk and not meat. They want:

Do A and you'll get B
Do C and you'll get D

Simple analysis to get wealth.

When A and C fail to produce result B and D they become angry and leave the church. Instead of sitting down and thinking where they went wrong . Where they went wrong in money management, self improvement, studying , networking etc. But most importantly what did wrong when they refused to ask the holy spirit for guidance but choose to follow pastors DIY manual.

Igbokwe thinks it is the spirit of his fathers house that is disturbing his business but it is the fact that he has terrible savings culture that is the problem.

Not that we don't fight spiritual battles but many Christians don't live a balanced life and live in constant fear.

These people apply Principles of hardwork , networking, smart work, continuous self improvement but teach you the half truth you want to hear.

They teach half truths for so long that even they don't know when they begin to spin autocratic webs of lies.
Just like Oyakhilome said man is master and women are slaves to their husbands. Any body listening to Oyakhilome knows the origin of that teaching comes from bitterness towards his wife. He is still very bitter and in his feelings about his failed marriage.

I'm sure if Oyedepo mingles with 30 of his church members who have been paying tithe for years and are still broke, He will reduce the way he pushes this tithing doctrine. The only avenue they get feedback from is testimony. Testimonies doesn't make up the life story of all the church members. People lie in some testimonies too.

He is only pushing this thing because like I said earlier it is what has worked for him for years. It has worked for his mentors and friends also. But it is also half truth because even he didn't rely only on tithing to get this far.

Like Benny Hinn kept repeating in that video he knows he will make many enemies by what he is saying.
People don't know pastors sef are humans like us.

Pastors also pay lip service to friends and mentors, fall into error, get influenced wrongly, and get confused too

That's why it is good to seek the lord yourself.

Benny Hinn kept saying "I know I will offend people".

Many people don't know that even pastors suffer peer pressure.

They suffer it more than you and I because on one hand is the undiluted truth about suffering and attaining the kingdom of heaven and on the other hand is the sugar coated stuff you want to hear.

So, there is peer pressure from their fellow pastors, there is you that want easy gospel and there is their greed.

You think it is easy to enjoy the goodies that come with the office and not desire more by any means necessary.

Oh, you thought pastors don't have desires like you because they are saints, abi?

Do you know that know that no matter how anointed your pastor is if he goes to preach in a golf and Aba made shoes, his honorarium will be small.

If he doesn't call for seed sowing ( where it is a culture) his honorarium will be small.

If he doesn't praise the resident pastor his honorarium will be small.

Oh, you don't know pastors self dey do packaging.

Didn't Paul also complain about this.

How the people he converted where treating him because he didn't do packaging. They abandoned him and where spending on fake apostles because does ones know how to preach sugar coated words and and had the right packaging.

Read 2corithians chapter 11. But mostly vs 7- 15.

How come pastor Hagins last book on prosperity isn't as popular as his other books.

Because his last book debunked many myths and lies pastors preach to fleece members.

These pastors know if people read it they are done for.

All these many words is to say even though my "papa" lied with the Bible and misled people he is still my papa. But look at other people who are not my papa. They are the bad people. LOL.

You people are funny. Call out the false teaching and move on. There is nothing you are saying here that makes up for the clear false teaching. A half-truth will mean some part of the fib is true but there is nothing in the Job not tithing narrative that is true. Simple and short.

As for the other nonsense about Pastor Chris being bitter about his wife. That is why it is good to focus on the issue in front of you insteading of talking about matters you have no clue about. That snippet from the actual message you heard was done in 2008/9 waaay before his wife divorced him. So I don't know the bitterness you are talking about. If you even decided to be mature, you would have tried to listen to the whole thing to even know at some point he reminded the congregation that he is a father to 2 DAUGHTERS and will naturally not want to preach a message that might be "detrimental" to them or their possible marriages.

But in your haste to defend your own papa, see your post above. LOL.

Let's analyze the scriptures.

Was Job's health and wealth attacked because he didn't tithe?

Did God restore Job because he tithed?

Yes or No.

Wondering why nobody wants to touch this hot-potato of a question you have up there.

The answer is a big fat NO.

Anyone who says otherwise is a liar and a fraud.

Job was hedged from attack by God till the devil thought he could prove a point by asking God to allow him attack him.

It's that clear and simple.

A billion reasons on those mammon-driven pulpits exist as to why Job was attacked.

One floozy Christ embassy dimwit who despite all her noise couldn't even graduate with a 3rd class degree told me once that Job lost his fortune because he said "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me" Job 3:25.

It's the idiocy that is propagated from these pulpits.

Funny enough, I was reading through her diatribe, trying to understand her direction.

Then I read your post and it all became clear in an instance.

That x,y,z do it does not make it right. All that blazay about honorarium and stuff, is grossly irrelevant and totally out of the point. As it is when talking with Christian folk.

The Bishop lied. And misquoted scripture. For what reason, I can't say. But he is guilty of misrepresenting the bible.

The issue here is, Benny Hinn has started puncturing holes in the type of gospel that the Bishop and his cohorts seem to base their doctrine upon. He has stated facts, even if his repentance may have yet to be seen outwardly, and instead of fans of the Bishop and his cohorts to agree that he more likely than not could have been guilty of propagating a fraudulent message (purposely or otherwise), they are here making middle grounds and excuses.

Until we tell ourselves the bitter truth, we will go nowhere. We have to tell ourselves that Christ NEVER promised anyone earthly comfort. In this world you shall have tribulations, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. The words of Christ himself. Not any apostle who came to know him.

Until we learn to accept that cold hard fact, and depend entirely on God for our sustenance, we will continue to be a laughing stock, a punch-line factory and a source of humor to the world.

When they say read well before talking Nigerians won't and they will say people shouldn't call them lazy.

First of all

I don't do my father or papa
I take whatever teaching I can from any pastor I admire and the ones I don't agree with I discard. I only attend winners for the sake of going to church.

I believe you are a Christ embassy member and will defend your Chris oyakhilome at any cost.

Well that man preached heresy.
Even if the snipet was said before they divorced you and I know the wife clearly said the marriage had fallen apart a long time.

He said she was not submissive and she said he was emotionally distant. That message he preached was clearly attacking her from a bitter biased mind of his.

About saying he has two daughters broda I want to ask you are you a learner?

Don't people swear with their life they don't do one thing only to disguise to do it? Don't people tell you they are pastors and end up defrauding you?

Whether you agree with me or not that's your problem not mine.
