Onyeama is a good option for President. I think the APC may see him as a viable flagbearer for their party. Him, Ngige, Akabueze and Nnamani are members of the party and they can become prized asset to the South East.

EXACTLY!

THE REALITY OF POLITICS IS THAT HAD OKOROCHA ADHERED TO THE WISHES OF APC, HE WOULD BE THE TOP MAN ON THAT LIST FOR PRESIDENT.

SIMILARLY ORJI UZOH KALU CAN BE PRESIDENT IF HE TAKES IT UPON HIMSELF TO STOP NNAMDI KANU.

U CANNOT SAY MUST NOT BE PRESIDENT WITH CERTAINTY.

IT IS NOT ONLY IGBO VOTE.
You hit the nail on the head.
Obasanjo was worst yet the establishment selected him to be President. The likes of Rochas and Kalu still has what it takes to assuade their party for nomination.

The question now is what percentage of voting bloc can they secure for APC? SE has the least registered voters. Plus APC will have primary for the Presidential candidate. What delegates do you have in SE APC that can defeat delegates in SW APC?

Its not as simple as you think.

WE HAVE NOT REACH THAT PART.

THE REALITY IS DAT THE NORTH WILL CONTINUE IN 2023.

ANYBODY THAT THINK OTHERWISE WILL BE IN FOR HEART BREAK AND SURPRISE.

WE ARE JUST LINING UP PROSPECTIVE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE WITH POTENTIAL OF GOOD GOVERNANCE.

NOTHING SERIOUS.

These are facts.

Start thinking about these factors -
Number of registered voters
Number of LG
Number of delegates
The Party caucus in NASS
Endorsements across the nation

You are a sabo. Even in a thread opened to sell your candidates in East, you come out telling us North is better than your own people. Do you have sense? grin

ANY SE CANDIDATE WILL WIN BOTH SS AND SE.

THE ICE BREAKER IS THE MIDDLE BELT OR SW.

THE CORE NORTH IS A NO GO AREA FOR SOUTHERNERS.

The best selection out of East is Charles Soludo.

AS IT STANDS TODAY, IGBO ARE BETTER POSITIONED TO WIN A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION THAN YORUBA.

WE ALREADY HAVE 11 STATES IN THE BAG.

What delegate did Obasanjo had from the SW to clinch the PDP Presidential seat in 1999? The likes of Rochas or Kalu with a wide support base in the north can get northern delegates backing them.

It was a known fact that Obasanjo's delegates came from the middlebelt, SE and SS.
SW cued behind Olu False who flew the flag of the APP when Ogbonnaya Onu stepped down for him. That's another story on it's own.

But the fact remains that delegates in primaries are easily influenced by nepotistic or financial inducement.
Let the SW bring their delegates and let Rochas source his from the north, at the end the person with the highest votes gets the party nomination.

FOR IGBO TO WIN, WE NEED 4 OUT OF THE SIX SW STATES.

4 OUT OF THE SEVEN MIDDLE-BELT STATE AND 1 STATE IN NORTH EAST AND NORTH WEST RESPECTIVELY.

THE NORTHERN STATES ARE FOR A CONVINCING WIN.

APC delegates in SS and SE combined, do not match the SW delegates. You will need to get support from North or MB to win SW.
Meanwhile Yoruba is working on putting Ibo as Presidential candidate for PDP. There is a dilemma. MB will struggle with you for the PDP slot.

FORGET DELEGATES.

AFTER BUHARI IF APC DONT FIELD A CANDIDATE FROM SE, THEY WILL LOSE WITH A WIDE MARGIN.

THEY WILL NEED A MORAL GROUND TO GET THE PRESIDENCY.

We never know which APC bad books Amosun or Rochas fall under? The bad books surely is not Buhari's bad books. Both campaigned for Buhari vigorously.
If for instance Oshiomole is booted out from his chairmanship position do you think such bad books will still exist? Oshiomole and Tinubu's bad books rather than Buhari's.
Don't count your chicken before they roost because both men are still Senators under the APC and the tide can turn in their favour before 2023.
Re: 10 South East Igbos Who Can Be Great Nigerian Presidents by ImperialYoruba: 11:46pm On Sep 09, 2019
Obasanjo told your Leaders in East to field Soludo for Governor. They refused. YarAdua repeated the same request, they still refused. Buhari put party resources behind Ngige to get him elected for Governor, your leaders labeled him amala and ewedu candidate.

The bright guys that can build bridge for you across the nations and rebuild trust you dont want them. You bring toxic candidates that everyone see as clowns and separatists to represent you in the center. It matters a great deal to have forethought and see clearly how intrigues can develop into myriads of self-negating outcomes....and to quickly flow along...or move out of its way.

This is politics. The same way Oyegun was booted out before 2015 may sum up the same way Oshiomole may get his own axe before 2023. Alliance and caucus may change hands before then.
This is politics nothing is permanent or predictable.

Im not sure if it was calculated or an accident, but this picture is a body message and symbolic of the second term.

Buhari has achieved, its time to hang up the coat, kick of your shoes and relax your feet, eat, enjoy and be merry!

Baba just want retire jeje, no health risk or heart attack issue or stroke. The rest of this term will be spent pushing policies, going on diplomatic tours or hosting visitors, nothing more.

APC is in Oshiomole hand until 2021.

The best bet of the SW is to pick a trusted person from the Tinubu political family.
An Akabueze or Chris Ngige still favours the SW and south largely.
