I was just in a commercial bus viewing one of the topics on the homepage about Innoson Cars and before I knew it I scrolled on an extreme pornographic image on the thread, while someone was staring at my phone the whole time...

The same thing happened to me. I was in sitting with friends, including a female, and when i saw the thread, i called their attention to what Innoson was doing. They all came to read the news, then i scrolled down, what i saw made me close the thread immediately. It was so embarrassing

I stopped opening nl in open spaces long ago, imagine if na PC for office or with people at your back?

And the report button is useless, it only hides the post for you alone,it's still visible to others

Not an ad... It's actually an image uploaded by porn bloggers on Nairaland. It's just too much nowadays.

What the person that usually shares those inappropriate pictures on front page do is to create a lot of nairaland account and start posting. Whenever his acount is blocked by the mods he would simply switch to a new account and continue posting. This is why baning the account or deleting the post does very little.

Solution
I think seun should prevent post from newly created nairaland account from being visible to everyone. They should only be visible by the poster and a mod.
The first post of evey new account should first be approved by a moderator before they go live.

Only when the first post is approved should they be allowed to post normally.

Seun, if you think this is too much work for your mods, you can hire me to do the job.
