Peter Obi Responsible For Jonathan, Atiku Loss, World Igbo Youth Says by Trivalence: 2:28am On Oct 06, 2019
The World Igbo Youth Congress narrated on Saturday it took a careful analysis of the Igbos misfortunes in the 2015 and 2019 general elections and has observed that Peter Obi contributed in no small part to the recorded failures.

This was made known in a press statement made available to the media by its President General, Mazi Alex Okemiri.

Peter Obi was the Campaign Manager Southern Nigeria for the former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2015 and also the running mate of the People’s Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar in 2019.

“World Igbo Youth Congress took stock of Igbos misfortunes in 2015 and 2019 general elections, and [has] observed that Igbos had better options.”

The group said it did observe such action should not be allowed to repeat itself again.

“We know those who were behind the hasty decision of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in 2015, when the then General Muhammadu Buhari wrote to have an audience with Ohanaeze Ndigbo regarding 2015 presidential election

“Which was unsuccessful based on the efforts of former President Jonathan Campaign Manager for the Southern Nigeria [Peter Obi], and which also repeated again in 2019 when Ohanaeze Ndigbo hurriedly miscalculated without due process to endorse Atiku ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari

“…[These were piloted] by the same man who made Igbos to lose in 2019.

“WIYC appeal to Ndigbo to forgive Peter Obi, who’s linked indirectly to the electoral losses of PDP in 2015 and 2019, when he singlehandedly couldn’t galvanise Igbo support for Jonathan and Atiku on a clearly seen victory which Igbos was out to give to both candidates.”

Discussing what it perceived as the reason why former President Goodluck Jonathan lost in 2015, the group commented; “In 2015, lack of co ordination led to Igbo voters apathy across the South East for Jonathan, because Jonathan couldn’t muster up those Igbo votes he got overwhelmingly in 2011 across the South-East states.

“Based on Obi’s style of politicking which is strange to Igbos, ...

I should not have commented on this Post but I need to ask these Igbo youths that what do they want from Buhari that will make them think 95% votes for Jonathan in the Southeast is a failure?
Are these guys thinking other Nigerians are fools like them? In 2019 vote, Buhari did not score 20% votes of total Eastern Nigerian votes. Who is fooling who?

To be honest I don't see igbos achieving anything tangible politically in years to come. Easterners are to busy chasing shadows, still ruled by emotions and pains of yesteryears. It's unfortunate. Worst of all many are still stuck and unable to move away from the Biafra scam that was sold them. Chai!

by achieve anything tangible politically you mean getting an igboman as president so that we can brag like the yorubas?

Lol. The yorubas will look back in 50 years time when oil is dried up and when the situation in Nigeria has become really desperate and tell themselves the truth that dividing Nigeria was the only good politics they would have played today.

In the next 50 years I assure you that most smaller African countries would be light years ahead of Nigeria...while tinubu's family would be living in canada.

You call Igbos emotional..yes we are. We are the tribe who emotionally saw tomorrow.

You think Nigeria is bad now? Lol wait a few more years when oil is over

Now, this is why I love following Igbo matter. If you love to be amused and get a good belly-rumbling laughter you must subscribe to Igbo news. grin

I have never seen a more natural jesters.

Look at above quote. My interpretation of it is below. grin grin

Interpretation -
Peter Obi did not have "direct influence" of PDP's electoral losses in 2015 and 2019 where he failed to deliver winning support to a victory Igbo had forecasted would happen.

Here is the twist....
Millions of Igbo were sure Jonathan would win 2015, and in 2019 that Atiku would win....but one man named Peter Obi who has no direct influence on the losses of both candidates derailed Igbo guarantees for victory.

grin grin grin. ....and this Mazi guy is serious o.

One guy whose influence is inconsequ ential destroyed hopes of millions of Igbos who are lined up to celebrate PDP victory.

Chai!
Bu Ndigbo na gu ochi, ga ogbu mmadu! Chineeeke!! grin grin

Lmao. This is the pathetic emotion argument am talking about. Since azikiwe igbo nation has not achieved anything tangible. And it's not because the other tribes don't like igbos (after all 90% of easterners reside outside the east). It's because of lack of foresight, unhelpful emotional appeal to pity i.e always ready to play victim and zero efforts at strategic planning or political calculation. My dear, u better wake up! Don't call yorubas, cos ur not in the same boast. Yorubas are the smartest of the three tribes

lmao...you still don't even get it. What you call the achievements of your tribe is actually the achievements of your few elite like obj, tinubu and osinbajo while they give you these crumbs and have you on social media praising them to high heaven

Lol...how tragically dumb you are grin

no one should be blamed for any person's loss. Atiku and jonathan are responsible for their losses. 2015 Buhari was desperate n jonathan was less interested ,2019 buhari was in power n atiku unprepared.
