The stone is actually the problem with the Nigerian rice if it’s stone free then it’s okay
Quality local rice abound in the market that are thoroughly destoned and they are also sweeter. I deal on Abakaliki rice and can confidently tell u that our local production has evolutionalised

Local rice used to be #9500 per bag.
Why is it now #20,800? Are we importing local rice?
forces of demand and supply at play.

It's a lie that buyers shun local rice.
People are rushing it. Find out from dealers. Our local rice is more nutritious and tastier.
The only bad thing about our local sand is the sand. The sand aspect has reduced tremendously.
Please let's buy our own
my reasoning though...I deal on Abakaliki rice that are neat, properly destoned and tastier. I can tell you that the demand now is at all time high.
