ednut1: Oga economic crime have levels. Go and read the EFCC act and see what falls under their jurisdiction. Why isn't EFCC arresting rice smugglers, is that one too not financial crime? Different law enforcement agencies have a particular file they treat. |

adenigga: So.. Lemme understand you. If the FIRS, NAFDAC and co start making arrests outside their jurisdictions, It shouldn't be a problem? Well then.. I guess no Nigerian should complain when Anti-Robbery police unit starts searching their phones to see if they are fraudsters.. My brother, Although this arrest is commendable.. What is bad, is bad. 3 Likes 1 Share |

gaetano:you are right it's not the duty of EFCC, but they are all law enforcement agencies and can do the job when the right agency is not available to handle the situation. For example an Army man can control traffic when LASTMA or other traffic warders are not available or need assistance. I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong. |

There is no synergy between the government agencies. EFCC was supposed to pass the information to NAFDAC to effect arrest of the suspects. Everyone is trying to outdo the other thus, doing nothing in their actual job description. 1 Like 1 Share |

See stupid children running their mouths. Someone alerted efcc, efcc acted, then transferred case. Who knows if the current nafdac as we know it would not have died the matter? How many people would have developed liver disease or kidney failure from consumption of the tainted palm oil? I saw that story and my own reaction was fear. How many more tons of adulterated palm oil are in the market, killing people? 1 Like |

Rolex66: Lol. Why should I feel pained? I'm actually happier than you think. You know, One way or the Other this criminals would Negatively affect my life. If I'm not unknowingly buying the products, someone I know will. Even if that's not the case, many lives would have been ruined. But I'm a thinker.. When I see something out of place, I ponder. That's how I'm built. Just like I will be happy when A kidnapper or armed robber is caught.. I'll still be pondering why the EFCC, The Army or anyone outside the police force made the arrest. It doesn't mean I'm pained they were caught. It just means I have a working brain. And if someone comes here to explain the logic behind it to me, Then I've learnt something New. Just because it is right does not mean it makes sense. |
