Who says separation must be through war? The Igbos will be happy to leave and I expect the Hausas and Yorubas to be happy to see Igbos leave! They must have been fed up with them. What I don't understand is someone you have subtly designed out of your political process, you insist on being with you perhaps they know the only uniting factor of Nigeria is the Igbos. Have you imagined what will happen if the Igbos leave? Balkanization! It's in Nigeria's interest that Igbos get 2023 presidency 0monnak0da: 2 Likes |

DMerciful:You started the talk of war not me. Balkanization would happen if ANYONE leaves whether Ibo, Ijaw , Ibibio,Itsekiri, Urhobo or Chibok. You are always unnecessarily emotional. Leaving has nothing to do with presidency. No one will give you the presidency. If you work hard you will get it and to my mind you are looking at 16 years minimum.(with good behaviour) All these threats to leave will count as bad behaviour adding to your tariff 10 Likes 2 Shares |

There are only two ways to leave Nigeria. Diplomacy (which you clearly hate) or War (which you've already threatened but are incapable of). Don't kid yourself. Its your call. P. S - Nobody "subtly designed" Igbos out of the political process. Have you forgotten how you were the pillars of Jonathan's 6 year presidency just recently? You have now simply played yourselves out of relevance through politics of emotions, hatred and hubris. DMerciful: 5 Likes 1 Share |

DMerciful:What has that got to do with presidency? I am sorry but the dialog is almost childish. No one will give you the presidency. All this talk of pass to me or I will take my ball home is pointless. What if Alex Ekwueme had won the presidency what were Yoruba supposed to do burn the country? 6 Likes 1 Share |

You don't want the Igbos to participate unless they beg and at the same time you want them with you? I really don't understand! I don't like to be with who I don't like to be with! If Nigeria is a cohesive nation, how come everybody is certain that if Igbo leaves, everybody leaves? QuotaSystem: |
Re: PDP Did Not Zone Presidential Candidacy To Yorubas In 1999 by DMerciful(m): 10:36pm On Oct 27, 2019 |
You are talking of hypothetical situation that doesn't exist. Hausa has ruled! Yorubas were handed the presidency due to how Abiola was cheated in 1993. Everybody agrees it's the turn of Igbos but they insist Igbos must be punished forf 2015 and 2019 choices and if they are sober they will be considered afterwards. What clearer message to tell Igbos they are not wanted in this Nigerian project? If over 60% of the people say we know it's your turn but you must atone for your iniquities, why not move on? You are seeing presidential position while we are seeing common dislike. Our nature does not allow us to beg, so what next? You are a reasonable person, put yourself in the Igbo man's shoe 0monnak0da: |

yorubas are not smelling that presidency, you can take that to the bank. Na here we go dey come 2023, let God keep us and the major players of that election alive to witness how events will unfold... with Bubu gone on 2023,we will see which candidate APC will bring out that will command the same amount of clout and followership as Buhari does. 3 Likes |

DMerciful: I also don't want to be ruled by who I don't want to be ruled by. If you want to rule, you will learn to stoop to conquer. You cannot refuse to support the North and its candidate, insult the North, grandstand and refuse to make amends, yet expect support of the majority North with their votes You will beg. You're already swallowing your vomit and stylishly begging APC for inclusion. Wake up and smell the coffee. 8 Likes 1 Share |

DMerciful:How were Yoruba "handed" the presidency Please explain this to me slowly did we all fall asleep, get handed the presidency/pregnancy and not notice Sorry bro that NEVER happened . The Yoruba DEFEATED them . If it were handed over then Ekwueme would not have contested. Ekwueme then went down in history to contest against the inccumbent in 2003. But the Eboes never contested against Jonathan. So the question of TURN has to be put to vote just like with Ekwueme. Let us call it the Ekwueme protocol or model What about Kanuri don't they have a turn? 4 Likes 1 Share |

How did they defeat Ekwueme who was a founding member? Through Northern votes! The Northerners have used their population to ensure Igbos are defeated politically esp because Islam is not welcome in SE. It's all about religion. Same Northerners with ensure SW wins if they are in the ticket in 2023! So what's the point? raumdeuter: |

Did Igbos not vote Yaradua? Did Igbos not vote Tofa? Did Igbos not vote Atiku? Did Igbos not vote Shagari? Or are these not Northerners? You can see when people want to scheme you out, they will fabricate excuses. What Igbos are saying is that what was done for yorubas in 1999 should be done for igbos QuotaSystem: 1 Like 1 Share |

Same reason you did it for Yorubas. You said Igbos did not vote Northerners, I pointed it out and now you said they did not vote Bubu. So no Igbo person voted Bubu? Is it all Northerners that voted Bubu? Is it a must to vote Bubu? Now you see you're shifting the goal post when it got to Igbos turn! QuotaSystem: 2 Likes |

0monnak0da:ogbeni wake up from your delusions, I don't know which Igbos you are interacting with, or maybe you take Nairaland as your own version of reality (well good on that)... but out there in the 3D reality of the real world, no Igbo gives two SH*TS about Yaribas, much less their issues... why the hell should we? don't mistake useless Igbo politicians or anonymous interest groups complainimg about the SE economy or exclusion from the political thresholds in Nigeria, those ones are only after their individual or collective pockets! the average Igbo man on the street is top busy hustling to make money and impact his family and immediate community to give a hoot about Nigeria or his myriad of issues. And the whole country doesn't need to flock to "Honitcha" or "Enugun" because we both know you come from a region of largely unambitious idiots that hardly travel and explore opportunities outside (except it's UK of course), so I can't blame you for your ignorance. But if you must know, lots of your brothers and sisters are in Significantly large numbers in Enugun, Honitcha and other Igbo areas, they are not just counted as relevant cause they don't invest anything of substance in The East besides hawking Agbo jedijedi, doing cabu cabu, or mentoring others how to be motor park touts 1 Like |
