Some of you have never been dealt with typhoid before, right? You think it's only HIV that can deal with someone.

Hello nairalanders. I have this colleague who was always sleeping in the office around july. He often complained of muscle and joint pain with dizziness and pain in his eyes and both sides of his head. Sometimes, he would be complaining of slight headache and abdominal pain.

I asked that some test be run by him, including an XYZ just to be sure. He did all that and all was negative except typhoid which was inherent in the diagnostic report with negligible malaria. He was placed on a broad spectrum ciprofloxacin. He was feeling relieved after which the symptoms came back.

He went back to the clinic and was placed on Zinax, a higher antibiotics. 2 weeks later, the symptoms came back again and this time, the dr asked him to repeat the test and still repeat the XYZ. As usual all came out negative except thyphoid. This time, he was placed on augmentine. In short, he completed the recommended dose barely 2 weeks ago and symptoms have returned as I speak . Yesterday, I asked that the test be repeated for the 3rd time same as usual. Please medics, pharms and traditional medics in the house, what drug can he use to get rid of this stubborn bacteria?

how do you know he is not using fake/adulterated drugs?
how do you know he is taking his drugs to completion?
has he checked his environment? something around him continues to expose him to thypoid

If he has taken drugs then he should try flushing with drip packed with necessary injections run through his veins.

Some people carry typhoid infection chronically and reinfect themselves though not so quickly after antibiotic treatment.

?? Fake drugs
?? Inadequate duration of treatment

Pls do advice him to take herbs...the combination of unripe paw paw, pineapple, tealeaf, cashew leaf and the back, mango leaf and back of the tree all cooked together for 1hr plus and drink the water 4 like 3-5 days. Ask those market women for more ingredients on typhoid.

this fake drugs of a thing is now becoming so serious. My mum was down like 2 weeks ago, she started treating typhoid and malaria, normally, but she was still sick, only for me to finally take her to see her personal doctor and the man saw the fake malaria drug lonart Ds and almost fainted. Gave my mum another drug immediately the next day she was fit. I don't know what this our government is doing anymore.

My personal experience after taking medication I felt better but not totally relieved so I opted for herbal remedy which comprises mango, guava, lemon, neem, pappaw, lemongrass leaf plus lemon. After boiling I drink a cup and wash off my body after bath and allow it to dry for three days and my system just reset back to default

I think the right thing to do is to meet a doctor specialist in this matter.
Get well soon. Never wake up to return to bed without making N10,000 per day. See my proof in the link below.

Everyone here seems to be a specialist, see one is saying "flush vein" and another one says "gentamicin", and some say herbs....we are in deep trouble in this country.

Go to a government health facility if possible. He should be placed on Cipro infusion for a specific length of time based on the most recent test result.

Best advice is to visit an hospital with a qualified medical doctor for proper evaluation and forget all these tradomedical advise. Life has no spare!

First of all, what your colleague has isn't typhoid and can never be. All these symptoms overlap with those of several other illnesses, including yellow fever and malignancies.

My suggestions:
1. Your colleague should visit another hospital where he'll be thoroughly examined, including checking all his peripheral lymph nodes for possible enlargment.
2. Let him do a full blood count + differentials and ESR test
3. Let him run a blood film for abnormal (including leukemic) cells
4. Any other unconventional investigations, depending on the discretion of the physician.

NB: Let's stop assuming everything is malaria and typhoid.

I need to help you brother. I suffered from typhoid bro for over 5 years. Started since 2013 and thank God i am okay now. I hope this can work for you. I used different types of antibiotics bro. Hospitals here and there. It got to a time i started boiling water. I was very pale and I was not enjoying my life. Series of drips and medications. I almost died bro back then in 2015 at Unilag hostel when i went there for some things To cut the long story short. I dont know if you have heard of Aqua Tabs. I have one here with me and i still drink from it. I hope it works for you. God knows this is not some sort of advert. I suffered a lot from typhoid and i dont wish my enemy to go through that let alone a friend. Please let me know if you are interested and i would put you through on how to get one. Still, i dont eat out but i can't remember the last time I took antibiotics bro!
