At the same time, it is silly to compare Nigeria with Ghana in population or land mass. Lagos with it's daily growing population would be a better match for comparison.

Ghana has always been blessed with better Administrators. The first coming of Rawlings has sanitized that country better than Buhari/Idiagbon Operation WAI.

Make no mistake about it, it is easier to manage a small country like Ghana with a small population of 30 million.

Yes Nigeria has obscene population of 90 millions that are in poverty. Greater than any African Country. The irony of this is that this dirty mark has reduced the false sense of wealth, arrogance and chest beating Nigerians display at home and abroad.

However, countries like Ghana must be careful when you criticize a country that has about 100 million people that live far better than you, has two or more regions better developed that your whole country.

Nigerians would also be silly to boast about one or two regions while most of your Northern regions wallow in abject Poverty dragging down everyone.

The corruption in Nigeria cannot be excused as every country has corruption.
It is only in Nigeria where a single person steals a whole house with it's foundation. No allocation is safe. Be it salary, project or contract at the Federal, state or municipal level. Even family allocation is no longer safe.

This has built a character flaw where decent people can no longer form a quorum.

Correction: Please Nkrumah did not advocate smaller countries, if he had the chance, the whole of Africa would be one Country.
