Are you getting what I'm saying? People's whose poverty is SELF-INFLICTED deserve to be hated.

Do you know what self-inflicted means?

Your rant shows you didn't understand my comment. Learn to comprehend before foaming at the mouth.
"The poor people in Africa" "black people" means all poor people in Africa; the latter part means the black race in the globe. Learn to be particular and probable in your post next time.

You don't even understand yourself but you wanted me to understand you? Absurd. Well that is what one get when the fingers are faster than the processing speed of the brain.

Now, go back and read your previous post again, but this time slowly, allow your brain do the interpretation rather than using your mouth...

...then, tell yourself you are stupid for your stupid unintelligent post.

Create an apology thread for me, the poor Africans and the black race, and make sure it is moved to front page.

Also, a thank you for lecturing your stupidity.

Henceforth, always work on your brain rather than on your fingers.

My apologies for being such a mean lecturer.

You read through the whole brouhaha and how she came to such an illogical conclusion! What she failed to apprehend is that wickedness is not a Nigerian phenomenon, but a global thing. The Bible says that the heart of a man is wicked. It didn't say the heart of Nigerians are wicked.

But why do Nigerians find it so hard to show empathy?

And for those who do show it, why does it almost always never end well for them?

Call it "self hate" all you want
It's the TRUTH

Black folks need to check and rehabilitate themselves

It's widespread
And because you don t witness much of it in your circles does not mean it's not widespread in this $hithole continent
And bad things do not happen in the Whiteman's heaven? Self hate is a terrible disease.

Wickedness knows no status, it's lies in everyone's heart.

You don't atrocities committed by some rich folks to stay rich.

It ain't about rich or poor status, it's individual personalities.

You didn't get her point...lack of enlightenment and opportunity warps the mind...people don't look at the bigger picture and prefer immediate gratification at the cost of their future and their relationships with people who could help them

See how that boy embezzled his own school and hospital fees and totally ruined his relationship with his boss over what? N20K?

This attitude is common in lower income earners because of narrow-mindedness (though it doesn't apply to everybody). When you want to treat them as human beings and give them the respect due to them for their work they start misbehaving.

You'll find yourself screaming and shouting at somebody just to get them to do what you paid them for

While I am here with all my sincerity, Nothing to really show for it. It is well though. Recently A PM working on installation of a radio base site contacted me to send my account no so he can transfer money into it for mobilization. Because we've discussed already about how everything works on the site, But I had to tell him I won't be able to climb Mast except for when it is time to take pictures of the equipments Installed. I can only do ground work and Integration, He kept on pestering me to send my account no, But I refused, I had to tell him, Did he see the part where I said I won't be able to climb the Tower but I can Vouch for a Rigger because a Rigger would be the one to do almost 70% of the Job. Oh when he acknowledge it, He had to praise me for my sincerity. Mind u this person haven't met me yet. I was introduced to him by my cousin. He told me If it was some people, They would have received the money first and now start explaining. When It's time to refund, Stories will start popping up. I just told him I can't do such thing, My peace and integrity is very important. He told me he will get back to me when something comes up. Meanwhile as at that time, I was so broke like a church rat. But nothing beats Honesty, Sincerity and rest of mind.

Humanity should get its act together is what you should be saying. Bad things is not synonymous to black people alone. The fact that you used the derogatory term "nigger" just confirms the self hate.

I disagree with that mentality towards the poor

I have associated with the poor, average and rich class of people.

With the poor or average class people, to live and associate safe with them, without them feeling envious or trying to steal or destroy to take what u have , just DONT BRAG ABOUT YOUR MONEY, WOMEN OR ACHIEVEMENTS.

Don't brag about your life to their faces. If they ask u any personal question? Be brief about it and stylishly inreturn ask them about their own life.

Don't promise what u cannot give. Little change Or gifts here and there sometimes keep smiles on their faces and remove evil thougts of harming you.

Don't bring them to your home, if you know u set up your home to the teeth with exotic gadgets and all. Always meet up either at workplace or public place. Be humble be respectful with smiles . Help them with stuffs if u have, but don't be too familiar with them. Behave sympathetic when they are talking about their struggles in life and pray for them before u take your leave, after advising them on what they should or should have done. Their heart will soften towards u, no matter how rich u look or behave.

That's a way of making people not resent you, if u seem to have more than enough.

If they don't see how much u are enjoying at home, or know how much u take home? They won't plan against you. What the eyes does not see? The heart doesn't grieve over.

Just be kind , sympathetic with words and facial expressions then ,respectful and don't forget to say, Eeyah the Lord is your strength. God will lift u up when u least expect and remember God has not forsaken you. Keep praying God is on your case in Jesus name Amen. Say the short prayer with them when they talk about how hard life is. And u will see the joy and smile in their faces, as they look into your eyes to know if u are faking it or being real.
If your look is sincere they won't plan evil against u.

But if the expression in your eyes is fake? Then u are in deep shiiit! cheesy

It's simple for me anyways.

I know how to handle people from different class.
too much rules just to be safer around poor people!!

These rules seem to be longer than the eleven commandments sef.

Maybe it's better to keep away from poor folks then if you'd always have to stick to this instruction manual before your safety is assured cool

It's because your boss always brag in his face or talk down at him if he makes mistakes or his boss could have embarrassed him in front of his female friends or guests, just to show his superior. So with time, resentments and hate will Keep growing in his mind towards the boss. It's only natural. While he swallows everything with a fake and quiet smile at his Boss. Behaving like mumu and all. Then he eventually strikes your boss when he least expect.

U can imagine ? He's already recruiting followers against your boss.

Your boss is in deep shiit! May God help him in this web, he has walked all by himself into.

I repeat nobody needs a right-hand man, who knows your in and out. If you want to live long and peacefully , don't have a right hand man, it's not safe.

Just be watching them o. Na the two of them sabi.
if what you typed is what's going to happen, then the lady is right that Nigerian poor people are wicked.

The right hand man should have subtly made his grievances known instead of painting the oga black and gathering a fellowship against him without even considering the boss nice deeds to him.

I believe the right hand man is evil and wicked. Wicked people always have one excuse or the other for their evil heart.

You are right but not all poor Nigerians are wicked.

I have met several goodones in my life time and also bad ones too.

My neighbors around me, like security guard wife, the young girl who sell fruits along the office building, and some other people here are have been good to me, at least lemme give to them. Even though they are poor and struggling they won't cheat me.

Is not one of my client from an average class that wanted to cheat me of 1k because I look ill? Maybe she thought malarIa has immediately blind my eyes or I have become brain dead and cannot calculate money again.
But trust me, I'm always alert with money whether I'm sick, bedridden , chained or not. I don't joke with money. Especially money I work for.

It's well jare
Just be good. And leave the rest for God

Well that's the deal.

One can't be too safe.

It's better to be safe and stick with some Rules than to be sorry afterwards.

These rules have helped me sha, whether they are longer than ten commandments or not

Forgot to mention we've all overlooked a critical historical dynamic that influenced this behaviour:the slave trade!
Centuries of selling kin led unsurprisingly to many W Africans learning the wrong sociocultural lessons:
-make money at all costs
-FEAR AND HATE OF SOCIAL ELITE WHO HAD LIFE AND DEATH POWER OVER LOWER CLASSES
-a deep lack of empathy
-a lifelong observer of trends leads me to conclude many peculiar W African social dysfunctions are very likely karmic payback.

Btw, even E Africans abroad have noticed these tendencies. We hear from rich and middle class Naijjans how they never tell the fam their full itinerary on return, or the popularity of voodoo fetish or gris gris in French Africa for both personal protection and malignant influence over others. A Benin hottie in Mombasa a while ago told me stories for days.
In such a social climate how would the poor act toward the rich in a 5th world country?
Consider srsly!

Unfortunately this widespread socio culture IMO isn't properly seen for its cancerous effects on growth. Employees with the mentality of dishonesty at low-, middle- and top levels are probably responsible for as much poverty as our corrupt parasite class!

DOING BUSINESS IN AFRICA

#Copied from WhatsApp

I run a manufacturing business and a trading business.
The biggest challenge in my manufacturing business is not power, or infrastructure, the biggest challenge is getting honest staff. Everyone we hire appears to be on a mission to steal as much as possible. Inflated invoices, recording less than the actual number of units produced. The worst part of it all is that all the fraud we've uncovered is not done by a single person, it's usually many staff who collude with each other, from production, to sales, to finance, even top management. There was a year I overhauled management 3 times in a year.........

But me, I've found a solution sha, I now use Indian management. So competent, so honest and so straightforward. I thought they were expensive at first with all the visa fees, accommodation, house staff, but now that losses due to staff theft have been reduced to a minimum, and efficiency increased, the Indian management has turned out to be cheaper than the previous African management. Now, all sensitive positions involving money go to Indians. Africans are only allowed in non-sensitive positions. I used to criticize companies like Dangote Group that hire so many Indians when there are many unemployed Africans, but now, I understand their decision.

My biggest challenge in the trading business is the same, getting honest staff. The form of trading occurs in the open market, and involves staff having access to huge sums of money running into a few millions. I know how much I pay to security companies to provide escorts for the staff, not to prevent robbery, but to ensure that the staff go straight to the bank to deposit the money after the day's sales and not disappear with my money. This money spent on security companies is even enough to be declared as profit. We have to spend on CCTV, biometric scanners and other things that wouldn't be needed if staff weren't looking for the slightest opportunity to steal.

It got so bad at a point that my main criteria for employing staff was no longer competency but honesty. At least, competency and skills can be learnt, but once you're dishonest, you're dishonest.

We always complain of the economy and how there are no jobs. I know people abroad who would have loved to set up job creating businesses in Africa but they can't because they can't get any trustworthy person to run it.

I know people in Africa with so much money, they want to start factories and other job-creating businesses but they can't because they are occupied elsewhere and can't get any trustworthy person to run the business. So instead of investing in the real sector and creating jobs, they'll just buy treasury bills, while the thieves are shouting no jobs.

Many big businesses would have been born in Africa if we could engage in partnerships, but we can’t because you can't trust anyone. This is one advantage the Indians and Lebanese have over us in Africa. They can pull resources together and do mega-business, unlike Africans that because only one person must do everything since we can't partner, end up with small, tiny businesses.

Start a poultry and they will be stealing your eggs. Some will even go ahead to be killing the chickens so that they'll be allowed to take them home.

Start an entertainment/viewing/game center and they'll be pocketing your money. On the days you're around at the business, the money realized will be x10 of the money realized when you're not around..... Because they're eating your money.

Lease out a vehicle to a driver to use and watch as he'll finish you.

Start a restaurant, the same thing will happen. More than half of the total food ingredients will end up in their personal kitchens.

Even ordinary provisions shop, they will find a way to steal.

You'll see them with that their evil, wicked saying "na where person dey work, na there e dey chop, na e make dem dey callam workchop/workshop"...... Just imagine, justifying theft at work.

And you'll see these people point their crooked fingers at politicians when they're not any different. I usually say the reason most Africans haven't stolen billions of government money, is simply lack of opportunity.

*On every level, Africans are the problem of Africa*.
