I did my masters at university of Sunderland (UK) I started the project management programme in 2012 and finished 2013.I came back immediately after my course work due to the visa policy in the Uk then. Then to your question it wasn't funny the first two years of my return to Nigeria,my family didnt want me to come bacj and aomw friends too .On return I thought I was going to get a good job eith the obodo oyibo certificate but the jobs weren't forth coming so I had to start practicing on my own cos my area is civil engineering ..sometimes there is this feeling of "guy why did you return sef lolz".But I have been working hard doing my building construction work waiting for that breakthrough but so far so good we keep on working hard. In summary my studies there reshaped my person again I have come to understand that success is not a matter of location when God remembers some 1 everything changes ...peace . 55 Likes 3 Shares |

I had to come back to Nigeria because of Buhari/Emefiele's policy with WU/Moneygram. I wanted to stay put there or migrate to Canada. Where exactly, if you don't mind sharing? |

People are asking why would anyone regret studying abroad? My people, if after studying abroad and you couldn't get any decent job afterwards, you would be full of regrets. Some of my colleague in 2009 came to UK on self- sponsorship, paid millions and at the end of their programs, the Conservative government of David Cameroon told them to go back to their respective countries. Companies were told to first consider UK/ EU. Citizens before any international applicant. It was a hopeless situation for many Nigerian students. Some came back to Nigeria to pick up call centre jobs with MTN and others while some struggled with entry level positions. I thanked God that I came to UK under scholarship and there was no regret. Luckily, I got something on my return back to Nigeria. If you want to study and sponsor your self, please head to Canada, New zealand or Australia. Avoid UK or EU countries. If you study in UK or any EU countries, you will be considered last in employment after the citizens of 28 member EU must have been considered. Don't get me wrong, People still get jobs after studying in UK but it is very tough now. Most Nigerians go abroad to study with purpose of securing decent job and settling there. Most are not interested in coming back. If this is your intention, avoid EU countries. It has caused a lot of depression to many people after studying abroad, paid the huge millions and come back to Nigeria to hustle for jobs with local graduates. Some abroad graduates even hides to avoid people asking them questions after coming back to Nigeria. They see themselves as failure if they have nothing to show after returning back to Nigeria. 42 Likes 2 Shares |

rtdCivilservant:you cant have first class in engineering from harvard and be a teacher in a local school, that is not going to happen in a thousand years to come, the village people will not let you attend that school if that is what they have in plan for you. the moment you have admission letter from that school you are way above the league of any teaching here in Nigeria. 6 Likes |
